  • Eugenio Suarez DH | CIN

Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Socks 10th homer

Suarez went 1-for-4 with a home run in Tuesday's win over the Nationals.

Suarez launched his 10th homer of the season off Max Scherzer in the sixth, but that would be everything he'd contribute to the win -- he struck out in each of his other three at-bats. The veteran has reached double-digit long balls for the seventh year in a row, though he isn't contributing much in other categories -- he owns a .150 average with a meager .586 OPS.

  • Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY

Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Launches 13th homer

McMahon went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Tuesday's loss to the Mets.

McMahon put the Rockies on the board by taking Jacob deGrom deep in the second inning. The 26-year-old is now batting .258/.306/.527 on the season while leading the Rockies in homers (13), hits (47) and RBI (31).

  • J.D. Davis 1B | LAA

Mets' J.D. Davis: Managing joint inflammation

Davis (finger/neck) underwent an MRI that showed joint inflammation in his left hand and will receive treatment before resuming baseball activities, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.

The 28-year-old had his rehab assignment at Triple-A Syracuse paused over the weekend due to neck stiffness, and he returned to the Mets to be evaluated after experiencing some hand soreness during a workout. Davis appeared close to returning from the injured list, but that timeline has now been pushed back while he's receiving treatment for the inflammation.

Mets' J.D. Davis: Pauses rehab to receive treatment

Davis (finger/neck) returned to New York City from his rehab stint at Triple-A Syracuse to receive treatment, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

The 28-year-old was expected to be in the lineup Tuesday for Syracuse after his rehab assignment was paused over the weekend due to neck stiffness, but he instead rejoined the team for treatment. According to Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record, Davis hasn't suffered any setbacks with the finger or neck, so he may still be able to return from the injured list early next week as previously expected.

  • Brian Anderson RF | ATL

Marlins' Brian Anderson: Facing multi-week absence

GM Kim Ng said Tuesday that Anderson (shoulder) will be sidelined for at least the next several weeks, Craig Mish of SportsGrid.com reports.

The 28-year-old landed on the injured list earlier Tuesday with a left shoulder subluxation, and he'll end up being sidelined well beyond the 10-day minimum. Anderson can safely be ruled out into mid-June, though it's possible he misses more time. Jon Berti and Isan Diaz are the likely candidates to see reps at third base in the meantime.

  • Padres' Manny Machado: Could be available off bench

Manager Jayce Tingler said that Machado (shoulder) will hit prior to Tuesday's game against the Brewers and could be available off the bench, depending on how he feels, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

While Machado will be absent from the Friars' starting nine for the fifth consecutive game, Tingler's update indicates that the star third baseman could return to the lineup as soon as Wednesday, assuming all goes well with his Tuesday hitting session.

  • Brian Anderson RF | ATL

Marlins' Brian Anderson: Goes on injured list

Anderson was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with left shoulder subluxation.

Anderson exited Monday's contest and is now set to miss the next several games at minimum. Backup Jon Berti figures to get the majority of the action at third base in Anderson's absence.

  • Padres' Manny Machado: Remains out Tuesday

Machado (shoulder) will remain out of the starting lineup for the fifth straight game Tuesday against the Brewers.

Machado has been sidelined since May 19 with the shoulder issue and it remains unknown when he could return to the lineup. Ha-Seong Kim will get the start at the hot corner once again Tuesday.

  • Kevin Newman 3B | LAA

    Pirates' Kevin Newman: Sitting Tuesday

Newman is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game agains the Cubs.

This figures to be just a day off for Newman, as he's been a consistent presence in Pittsburgh's lineup during the Pirates' first 46 games. Cole Tucker will start at shortstop.

  • Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA

Cubs' Patrick Wisdom: Recalled from Triple-A

The Cubs recalled Wisdom from Triple-A Iowa on Tuesday, Maddie Lee of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

The first and third baseman has struggled to the tune of a .160 average in 25 minor-league at-bats this season; however, three of his four hits have been homers. Wisdom will provide much-needed infield depth while Matt Duffy (back) spends time on the injured list.
