Cole Mathis 3B | CHC
Mets' Cole Mathis: Debuts at Brooklyn
Mathis (undisclosed) has gone 1-for-11 with a double, three walks, two RBI and a run scored in three games for High-A Brooklyn since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list Tuesday.
Acquired from the Cubs in a June 25 deal that sent left-hander David Peterson back to Chicago, Mathis didn't make his Mets organizational debut until July 23 while he recovered from an unspecified injury that had kept him on the shelf at High-A South Bend since June 21. After appearing in six rehab games between the rookie-level Florida Complex League and Single-A St. Lucie, Mathis was given the green light to join the Mets' South Atlantic League affiliate.

Reimer (groin) has gone 3-for-16 with one walk, four RBI and three runs in four games for Double-A Binghamton since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list Tuesday.

Sanoja delivered an RBI single in the fourth inning before driving in two more in the fifth. Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Cubs' Alex Bregman: Tallies three hits, two RBI in win
Bregman went 3-for-6 with a run scored and two RBI in Sunday's 10-2 win over the Royals.
Bregman has mostly underwhelmed in his first season with the Cubs, but he turned back the clock with a productive performance Sunday. The veteran third baseman historically plays better down the stretch, and he should remain in the lineup most days as Chicago jockeys for playoff positioning. Bregman is now slashing .263/,317/.395 with a home run, six RBI and six runs scored across nine games this month.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Sitting versus southpaw
Muncy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Muncy went 0-for-6 with a walk and four strikeouts in the first two games of the series, and he'll take a seat against Arizona lefty Eduardo Rodriguez in the finale. Enrique Hernandez will step in at the hot corner Sunday for the Dodgers.
-
Jose Fermin LF | STL
Cardinals' Jose Fermin: Gaining foothold in lineup
Fermin will start at third base and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Rockies.
Fermin will be included in the lineup for the sixth time in seven games, with four of those starts coming against right-handed pitching. He could be emerging as the preferred option at third base, as rookie Blaze Jordan (122 wRC+ versus lefties, 52 wRC+ versus righties) has struggled against same-handed pitching this season.
-
Blaze Jordan 3B | STL
Cardinals' Blaze Jordan: Playing time trending down
Jordan is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.
Jordan will head to the bench for the second time in the series and has now been excluded from the starting nine in three of the Cardinals' last four matchups with right-handed pitchers. Jose Fermin may have overtaken Jordan the team's preferred option at third base while Jordan has struggled to a .236/.250/.315 batting line (52 wRC+) in 96 plate appearances versus righties.
-
Kyle Karros 3B | COL
Rockies' Kyle Karros: Swipes two bags
Karros went 0-for-2 with a walk, an RBI and two stolen bases Saturday against the Cardinals.
It wasn't a typical performance for Karros, but he was productive nonetheless. He reached base in the first and third innings and stole second base on each occasion, and he later lifted a sacrifice fly to provide an insurance run in the ninth frame. Karros has continued his strong season since the All-Star break, hitting .294 with eight RBI and 10 runs scored across 16 contests.

Nick Gonzales 3B | PIT
Pirates' Nick Gonzales: Collects three RBI vs. Mets

Gonzales got the Pirates on the board with an RBI in the first inning before extending the team's lead to 8-0 with a two-run double in the fourth. His three RBI matched a season high that he set against the Astros on June 3, and he has gone 6-for-15 with two extra-base hits over his last four games. On the year, Gonzales is slashing .309/.362/.402 with five steals, six home runs and 53 RBI over 467 plate appearances.
