Eugenio Suarez DH | CIN
Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Stays hot with three-hit effort Friday
Suarez went 3-for-4 with a solo homer, two RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 7-2 victory over the Nationals.
The 24-year-old has come out the gates smoking in June, now slashing .571/.667/1.571 over his first 11 at-bats of the month. The offensive outburst has already raised Suarez's average 23 points to .242, a much-needed boost after he produced a .173/.229/.357 line in May. Despite his forgettable stretch at the plate, Suarez's power never left him, and he's now up to 13 homers after hitting three over the last two games.

Phillies' Cody Asche: No set plan for playing time
Manager Pete Mackanin does not have a set plan for how he will rotate Asche into the lineup, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports.
Asche started in left field Thursday and went 0-for-2 before Tyler Goeddel was used to pinch hit for him later in the game. Asche will have to hit to ensure he stays in the lineup. The Phillies have options in left field with Goeddel and Jimmy Paredes.

Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Homers twice in win over Rockies
Suarez went 3-for-5 with a double, two home runs, three runs scored and four RBI in Thursday's win over the Rockies.
Hitless in his last eight games coming into the series (0-for-25), Suarez went 6-for-15 with three homers in four games at Coors Field. The double Thursday was just his third of the season, but he's now up to 12 home runs -- only Trevor Story and Manny Machado have more among shortstop-eligible players. Suarez can now look ahead to some home cooking with the Reds slated to begin a nine-game homestand Friday.

Mets' Matt Reynolds: Slated to rejoin Mets
Reynolds is on his way to join the Mets in Miami, Adam Rubin of ESPN.com reports.
David Wright (neck) is facing an extended absence, and Reynolds will be recalled in the corresponding move when Wright is officially placed on the DL. Reynolds has managed just a .230/.291/.360 line in 35 games at Triple-A Las Vegas in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League this season. He figures to see only occasional starts in the infield against lefties.

Phillies' Cody Asche: Will start Thursday
Asche is in the lineup and batting sixth for Thursday's game against the Brewers Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
After battling an oblique injury since the end of February, Asche is finally fully healthy and ready to make his season debut. The 25-year-old hit .245 with 12 home runs and 39 RBI in 2015 with the Phillies and will look to compete for everyday playing time in the outfield.

Cody Asche 3B | NYM
Phillies' Cody Asche: Activated from DL Thursday
Asche (oblique) was activated from the 15-day DL on Thursday.
Asche has yet to play a game at the big league level but he appears to finally be ready for action. The former fourth-round pick has struggled in his rehab starts at Triple-A, hitting just .200/.231/.520 with two home runs and four RBI through six games. Asche will likely serve as depth at third base, first base, and could snag a starting outfield spot upon his return, while David Lough was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Diamondbacks' Jean Segura: Plates two runs during Tuesday's loss
Segura went 1-for-5 with a double and two RBI Tuesday against Houston.
The leadoff man only recorded one hit, but he made it count as it was a two-run double in the bottom of the ninth inning. Segura has recorded hits in three straight games, and his average remains above the .300 mark even though he's hit only .186 over the past 10 games. As long as he makes contact, he will be fine.
