Jose Miranda 3B | MIN
Twins' Jose Miranda: Drives in three
Miranda went 1-for-4 with a double and three RBI on Thursday against the Guardians.
Miranda accounted for all of the Twins' offensive production with a bases-loaded double in the third inning. He's had an inconsistent role in the lineup since Alex Kirilloff returned, though Miranda has started three consecutive games during which he's tallied four hits with four RBI and a run scored. Overall, Miranda is hitting .240/.275/.418 across 153 plate appearances on the season.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Back in action Thursday
Machado (ankle) is starting Thursday's game against the Dodgers.
Machado missed nine consecutive games due to his ankle injury, but he'll serve as the designated hitter and bat second in Thursday's series opener against the Dodgers. Over his five games prior to his absence, he went 0-for-18 with two homers, a double, eight RBI and five runs.

Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW
Reds' Mike Moustakas: Rejoins lineup Thursday
Moustakas (undisclosed) is batting sixth as the designated hitter Thursday against the Cubs, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Moustakas sat out the past three games while nursing a minor injury, but he's back in the lineup for Thursday's series finale in Chicago. The 34-year-old has a .303/.351/.394 slash line across his past 10 contests.

Abraham Toro 1B | BOS
Mariners' Abraham Toro: Pair of doubles in Wednesday's win
Toro went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two runs in a win over the Orioles on Wednesday.
Toro's pair of doubles pushed his tally in that category to nine on the season, a bright spot in his otherwise dismal .178/.226/.337 slash line. The 25-year-old has reached safely in five straight games, however, and nearly half (17) of his 36 hits this year have gone for extra bases.

Willians Astudillo 3B | MIA
Marlins' Willians Astudillo: Clears waivers
The Marlins outrighted Astudillo to Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday.
Astudillo looks like he'll stick around in the Miami organization after he went unclaimed when he was exposed to waivers a few days earlier. Before losing his spot on the Marlins' 40-man roster, Astudillo appeared in 17 games with the big club and slashed .270/.289/.351 across 38 plate appearances.

Taylor Walls SS | TB
Rays' Taylor Walls: Drives in two
Walls went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI on Wednesday against the Brewers.
Though it's made the infield more crowded, Walls has managed to stay in the lineup for two of three games since Wander Franco returned from the injured list. Walls delivered on the opportunity Wednesday, smacking a two-RBI double in the fourth inning. He has an ugly .167/.245/.276 line across 212 plate appearances for the season, but Walls has managed to collect at least one hit in five of his last six starts.

Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Drives in one, scores once
Hayes went 1-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI on Wednesday against the Nationals.
Hayes had the potential for a much bigger game, as he was punched out twice and stranded five runners on base. Nevertheless, he managed to drive in his 25th run of the season and also came around to tally his 33rd run scored. Since returning from a two-game absence caused by a shoulder injury, Hayes has gone 4-for-17 with no extra-base hits across four starts.

Edmundo Sosa 2B | PHI
Cardinals' Edmundo Sosa: Displays speed Wednesday
Sosa went 2-for-4 with a triple, a stolen base and two runs scored in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Marlins.
With Tommy Edman getting a rare breather, Sosa was able to stay in the lineup against Marlins right-hander Sandy Alcantara. Sosa made the most of his opportunity, hitting his second triple in as many games and adding his second steal in three attempts this year. The shortstop is now batting .207 through 97 plate appearances, so he's got a long way to go before coming anywhere close to a solid place in the lineup. He's added five RBI, 16 runs scored, three triples and two doubles this year.

Gio Urshela 3B | MIN
Twins' Gio Urshela: Smacks solo shot
Urshela went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Guardians.
Urshela went back-to-back with Alex Kirilloff in the sixth inning as the Twins tied the game at 3-3. In this four-game series against the Guardians, Urshela went 5-for-15 (.333) with a homer, two doubles, three RBI and three runs scored. He's maintained a solid .258/.310/.406 slash line with seven homers, 33 RBI, 30 runs, 13 doubles and a triple in 71 contests overall.

Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Giants' Evan Longoria: Stays hot Wednesday
Longoria went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Tigers.
All of a sudden, Longoria is red hot. He has multiple hits in four of his last six games, with three homers during that stretch. The third baseman has battled finger, shoulder and hamstring issues already this season, so he may require more days off than in past years, but he can still do damage when on the field.
