  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Not starting Saturday

Donaldson isn't starting Saturday against the Blue Jays.

Donaldson will get a day off after he went 2-for-11 with a run and six strikeouts over the last three games. Matt Carpenter is starting at third base and leading off Saturday.

  • Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA

Cubs' Patrick Wisdom: Not starting Saturday

Wisdom isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Atlanta, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Wisdom started every game over the last month but will get a breather after he went 4-for-16 with a walk and five strikeouts over the last five games. Jonathan Villar is starting at third base while Andrelton Simmons starts at the keystone.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Steals second bag

Devers went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 6-5 win over the Cardinals.

His two-run single in the seventh inning gave Boston what seemed like unnecessary insurance runs until St. Louis struck for four in the top of the ninth, and Devers chipped in his second steal of the year in the fifth as well. The third baseman has driven in multiple runs in five of his last six games, continuing a very productive June that has seen him slash .294/.419/.647 with five homers, 15 runs and 16 RBI through 14 contests.

  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Crosses home three times

Bregman went 1-for-3 with a homer, two RBI, three runs scored and two walks in Friday's win over the White Sox.

Bregman launched a two-run blast to center in the top of the first to give the Astros an early lead. He picked up two more runs in the sixth inning, scoring once on a throwing error and again on a Yordan Alvarez homer. Perhaps for Bregman, the Astros and fantasy managers this was a sign of things to come, as it was his first home run since May 23. The third baseman is slashing just .180/.305/.300 this month.

  • Edmundo Sosa 2B | PHI

Cardinals' Edmundo Sosa: Lacking playing time

Sosa has started just six of the Cardinals' 17 games in June.

Sosa is mired in an 0-for-14 skid across his last seven games, and he's failed to take hold of a starting role at shortstop. With the emergence of rookies Nolan Gorman and Brendan Donovan, Tommy Edman has been pushed to shortstop against most right-handed pitchers. Sosa's lack of hitting -- he has a .188/.233/.235 slash line in 90 plate appearances -- could also put his spot on the 26-man roster at risk. Paul DeJong has clubbed nine home runs with 29 RBI and 22 runs scored in 31 games since he was sent down to Triple-A Memphis, though he's only batted .228 in that stretch, and his flash of power could eventually see him overtake Sosa again on the organizational depth chart.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Hits 12th homer in loss

Arenado went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Red Sox.

Arenado hit a game-tying solo shot in the second inning, but the Red Sox later pulled ahead and the Cardinals' comeback fell short. Through 15 games in June, the third baseman has gone 17-for-58 (.293) with three homers, 10 RBI and nine runs. He's been fairly steady all year with a .276/.349/.491 slash line, 12 long balls, 42 RBI, 29 runs and 14 doubles in 62 contests while remaining a fixture in the heart of the order.

  • Mets' Eduardo Escobar: Plans to return Saturday

Escobar (impaired vision) plans to play Saturday against the Marlins, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Escobar hasn't played since Thursday while dealing with headaches and dizziness which reportedly stemmed from pressure in his ears. He had to go to the hospital to sort the issue out, but he's seemingly been treated successfully, so he's ready to play again Saturday.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Exits with tight hamstring

Moncada left Friday's game against the Astros with right hamstring tightness.

Moncada appeared to hurt himself while running out a grounder in the top of the second inning. He remained in the game for the bottom of the frame but was replaced by Josh Harrison when the White Sox took the field in the top of the third. Moncada is undergoing further tests which should help determine the severity of the injury.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Angels' Anthony Rendon: Lands on injured list

Rendon (wrist) was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday ahead of his season-ending surgery.

News emerged earlier in the day that Rendon would undergo season-ending wrist surgery next week, so a move to the injured list was inevitable. He'll likely shift to the 60-day injured list whenever the Angels need another 40-man roster spot. He'll end his season with a disappointing .228/.324/.383 slash line across 45 games. Jack Mayfield was called up to take his place on the roster.

  • Brian Anderson RF | ATL

Marlins' Brian Anderson: Ready for live BP

Anderson (back) will hit live batting practice Saturday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

He had only been hitting off a tee and throwing medicine balls, so this is a step in the right direction. Anderson is recovering from a mild disc bulge in his lumbar spine, and it's unclear how capable he is of getting in defensive work yet.
