Urshela went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer and three strikeouts in Sunday's 7-3 loss to Cleveland.

Urshela had gone hitless in his last two games, but he put the Yankees on the board with his third home run of the season in the fourth inning Sunday. However, the 29-year-old left four runners on base by striking out in each of his other three at-bats. Urshela is now slashing .250/.301/.441 with seven extra-base hits, nine RBI and seven runs this year.

Escobar went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in the 7-0 win Sunday against the Braves.

Escobar homered in the third inning off Drew Smyly in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader. He also provided a hit and an RBI in Game 1. Sunday marked his seventh home run, tying him for first in the majors. The 32-year-old is slashing .241/.312/.542 with 14 RBI and 15 runs scored.

Davis went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Sunday's win over the Nationals.

Davis launched his second homer of the season and continues to see the ball well, as he has hit safely in all but two of his games this season. He's hitting .414 with a 1.175 OPS thus far.

Suarez has opened the season hitting .149/.264/.324 with a whopping 33 strikeouts in 87 plate appearances. Reds manager David Bell surmised that the move to shortstop has hurt Suarez's offense, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

"I think there's something to that, actually. I think playing a new position and the fact that it's shortstop, he's had to put so much of his focus and so much of his energy on that position," Bell said before Sunday's game at St. Louis. Suarez looked particularly lost Friday night when he struck out four times, including looking to end the game.

Angels manager Joe Maddon said Rendon (groin) will likely be activated from the 10-day injured list Monday or Tuesday, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Rendon wasn't able to make it back from the IL for the Angels' weekend series in Houston, but he appears to have made continued progress in his recovery from the left groin strain nonetheless. The Angels could put him through some sort of pregame workout Monday before deciding whether to activate him for the series opener in Texas or delay his return for another day. Jose Rojas and Luis Rengifo have been the primary replacements at third base since Rendon landed on the IL on April 12.

Longoria (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins, Mark W. Sanchez of KNBR 680 San Francisco reports.

Longoria will be on the bench for a third straight game due to a sore left hamstring, but the Giants are continuing to list him as day-to-day. Wilmer Flores will cover third base in Sunday's series finale while Longoria looks to heal up ahead of Monday's game against the Rockies.

Maton will start at second base and bat seventh Sunday against the Rockies, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Maton's path to regular reps at shortstop closed when Didi Gregorius (elbow) returned to action Friday, but with Jean Segura (quadriceps) on the shelf and Brad Miller (neck) day-to-day, Maton has seen steady work at second base. The rookie has been able to take advantage of the extra playing time thus far, racking up nine hits (six singles, three doubles) while scoring once and driving in a run over his first five big-league games.

Farmer is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Alex Blandino will take over at third base in place of Farmer, who had started seven of the last eight games at the position. Farmer's run of regular reps could soon be coming to an end, as Mike Moustakas (illness) may end up being sidelined for the minimum 10 days on injured list after he was spotted taking part in infield drills Sunday.

Astudillo will bat ninth and man first base Sunday against the Pirates.

Astudillo will be making his sixth consecutive start Sunday, with each of the last four coming at first base. The 29-year-old looks poised to stick as the Twins' primary option at first base until Miguel Sano (hamstring) returns from what's expected to be a brief stay on the 10-day injured list. Astudillo is slashing .293/.286/.415 with a home run and six RBI over 42 plate appearances on the season.

Moustakas (illness) was taking reps at third base prior to the team's game Sunday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Moustakas was reportedly starting to feel better as the team began its weekend series in St. Louis. Manager David Bell had noted that Moustakas could return sometime during the upcoming series against the Dodgers, which begins Monday. His increased activity suggests that remains a possibility.
