Mets manager Luis Rojas said Davis will undergo additional X-rays on his bruised left hand Wednesday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Though the initial X-rays Davis underwent Tuesday revealed no structural damage, he apparently had too much inflammation on his hand for the scans to get a clear image. Davis will sit out Wednesday's game in Philadelphia, but the Mets are still viewing him as day-to-day heading into this weekend's series with Miami.

Urshela is averaging 77.6 miles per hour on his throws from third base, a drop of nearly five mph from his 2020 average, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

The loss of velocity could be attributed to Urshela still attempting to regain full strength in his throwing shoulder after he required surgery in December to remove a bone spur. Urshela, who is off to a 4-for-18 start to the season, has noticed a similar decline in his Statcast metrics at the plate, with his average exit velocity, max exit velocity and hard-hit percentage all down from 2020. The small sample of data thus far makes it difficult to draw any major conclusions for Urshela's rest-of-season outlook, but the early returns aren't overly encouraging.

Hayes (wrist) continues to improve but may not immediately return after serving 10 days on the injured list, DK Pittsburgh Sports reports.

Director of Medicine Todd Tomczyk said Wednesday that Hayes is "making daily improvements" but has yet to swing a bat or play catch. Tomczyk added that the injury was more severe than the original day-to-day diagnosis. "Obviously we want him back as safely and expeditiously as we can with the long term in mind," Tomczyk said. "So if it's not day 11, it's not day 11. We want him to feel strong. We want him to feel confident. We want him to be healthy for the majority of the season." Hayes is eligible to return to action April 14.

Davis (hand) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies.

Davis was able to avoid any structural damage to his left hand after getting struck by a pitch in Tuesday's win, but the Mets will give him the series finale off while he's presumably still managing some soreness. Luis Guillorme will check in for Davis at third base in what amounts to an upgrade in the field but a downgrade at the plate.

Moncada isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Moncada went 4-for-22 with a double, three runs and 12 strikeouts while starting the first six games of the season. Jake Lamb will start at third base Wednesday, batting second.

Suarez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

Suarez appears to be getting some routine maintenance with the Reds concluding their homestand Wednesday with a day game. Kyle Farmer checks in at shortstop for Suarez, who has fallen into a 1-for-15 rut at the dish over the last four games since homering in the April 1 season opener.

Madrigal went 1-for-3 with a single, a stolen base and a run scored in Tuesday's 10-4 win over the Mariners.

Madrigal reached base in the eighth after getting hit in the shoulder and promptly took second for his first steal of the young season. The former 2018 first-round pick only had two steals in 29 games last year, but hopefully this could be a sign that he'll be more active when on base to make up for his lack of run production so far at the plate.

Muncy went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 5-1 victory over the Athletics.

Muncy broke a 1-1 tie in the third inning with a two-run shot to right field. The blast against his former club was his first of the season. After batting a disappointing .192 during the abbreviated 2020 campaign, Muncy is off to a fast start with a .391/.481/.652 slash line through six games this season.

McMahon went 4-for-6 with three home runs, a double, three total runs scored and four total RBI in an extra-innings loss to Arizona on Tuesday.

Colorado couldn't pull out the win in a game that wasn't decided until the 13th frame, but McMahon gave the home crowd plenty to cheer about with his career night. He connected on solo shots in the second, fourth and seventh frames before capping his night with an RBI double in the 13th. The huge performance catapulted McMahon into the MLB season lead for homers with four, and he is slashing .444/.444/1.222 overall through five games.

Senzel went 3-for-4 with a walk and four runs scored in Tuesday's 14-1 win over the Pirates.

The bottom of the Reds' order was a wrecking ball Tuesday, as Senzel, Jonathan India and Tucker Barnhart combined for nine hits, nine runs and seven RBI from the 6-7-8 spots. The three hits were the first of the season for Senzel, but he has drawn four walks through five games, giving him an early .273/.467/.273 slash line.
