Muncy (wrist) is scheduled to field groundballs Wednesday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

Manager Dave Roberts said Monday that Muncy could return next week, and his resumption of baseball activities bodes well for that potential timeline. Assuming all goes well Wednesday, the 29-year-old is expected to advance to hitting shortly thereafter.

Madrigal won't be called up this September, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Madrigal reached Triple-A Charlotte by the end of the season, posting a solid .331/.398/.424 slash line and a miniscule 3.8 percent strikeout rate. Service-time concerns are likely part of the reason why the 22-year-old won't be getting a look down the stretch.

Anderson was placed on the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Anderson has already been shut down for the season after fracturing a finger on his left hand, so this move simply clears up a roster spot.

Moustakas isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Astros.

Moustakas was given the green light to return Monday after missing time due to a wrist injury, so he's likely receiving Tuesday off as a precaution. Travis Shaw draws the start at the hot corner and will bat sixth.

Newman (leg) isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Marlins.

Newman was held out of Sunday's matchup due to leg tightness, and even after benefitting from an off day Monday, he'll be held out of the starting lineup again Tuesday. It's unknown if he'll be available off the bench.

Segura (personal) is on his way to Cincinnati and should be available off the bench Tuesday against the Reds, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Segura flew to the Dominican Republic following the passing of his grandmother, and while he's not in Tuesday's starting nine, he'll likely arrive to the ballpark in time to be available if needed.

Davis isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against Washington.

Davis collected three base knocks during Monday's series opener, but he's in line for a night off. Jeff McNeil shifts to left field and will bat leadoff.

Urshela (groin) was on the field taking part in agility drills prior to Tuesday's game, Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News reports.

This represents the first sign of tangible progress in Urshela's recovery from a left groin strain. If this were any time over the first five months of the season, Urshela would seem like a long shot to return from the injured Sunday when first eligible, but with expanded rosters, the Yankees could go ahead and activate Urshela even if he's still a bit limited.
