Jon Berti 3B | CHC
Cubs' Jon Berti: Sitting Friday
Berti isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the Brewers.
Berti will get a chance to catch his breath after going 8-for-17 with an RBI and four runs scored over his last five games. His absence will open up a spot at third base for Nicky Lopez to start and bat ninth.

Ramon Urias 2B | HOU
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Scratched Friday
Urias was scratched from the lineup ahead of Friday's game against Kansas City due to right hamstring tightness, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.
It remains unknown if Urias' injury will lead to a trip to the injured list, but the O's should provide more details in the near future. Emmanuel Rivera steps into the lineup to start at third base, batting ninth.

Matt Shaw SS | CHC
Cubs' Matt Shaw: Another chance with Cubs expected
The Cubs are expected to eventually recall Shaw from Triple-A Iowa to take back over as their third baseman, Patrick Mooney and Sahadev Sharma of The Athletic report.
Shaw was sent down in mid-April after slashing only .172/.294/.241 across 68 plate appearances. The 23-year-old has a .324/.457/.487 slash line with one home run since being demoted to Iowa, including an 11-for-20 surge over the last five games. While a promotion for Shaw does not appear imminent, manager Craig Counsell confirmed that the team eventually plans to hand the third-base job back to Shaw.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Makes franchise history
Ramirez went 1-for-5 with an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in Thursday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Twins.
Ramirez was pivotal in the Guardians' walk-off win, singling in the tying run then scoring the winning run after he stole second base. With the steal, he entered the record books as the first player in Cleveland history to record 250 stolen bases and 250 home runs in his career. The steal was his seventh of the season.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Gets back into RBI column
McMahon went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and a stolen base in Thursday's win over the Giants.
It was a much-needed homer for McMahon, who hadn't recorded an RBI since April 9. During this time, the defensive-minded third baseman has gone a miserable 5-for-65 (.077) with two doubles and seven runs scored over 19 games. McMahon's defensive acumen should keep him in an everyday role at the hot corner, but he's difficult to justify as a fantasy option until he strings together some better performances.

Miguel Vargas 2B | CHW
White Sox's Miguel Vargas: Smacks three-run homer
Vargas went 1-for-3 with a walk and a three-run homer in Thursday's 8-0 win over the Brewers.
Vargas extended the White Sox's lead to four runs in the sixth inning on a three-run homer to left field off Craig Yoho. Vargas opened the season with a .139/.236/.203 slash line through his first 89 plate appearances. However, he has turned things around of late and is in the midst of an eight-game hitting streak, during which he has gone 13-for-29 with four walks, five runs scored, two home runs and six RBI.

Maikel Garcia 3B | KC
Royals' Maikel Garcia: Swipes three bags in win
Garcia went 3-for-5 with a double, a run scored, an RBI and three stolen bases in Thursday's 8-2 win over the Rays.
Garcia had gone just 4-for-9 in steal attempts coming into Thursday's contest after swiping 37 bags in 39 tries last year. Garica has now hit safely in four straight contests, going 7-for-17 (.412) with three doubles in that span. Overall, he's slashing .296/.353/.435 with two homers, 11 RBI and 12 runs scored across 119 plate appearances this season.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | NYY
Reds' Jeimer Candelario: No timetable for return
Candelario (back) said Thursday that there's no set rehab plan or timeline for his return, Charlie Goldsmith of the Dayton Daily News reports.
Candelario landed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a lumbar spine strain and it sounds like it could be a lengthy absence for the veteran infielder. The switch hitter had seen his playing time dip prior to the injury and is sporting a lowly .113/.198/.213 batting line over 91 plate appearances this season.
