Rengifo (wrist) began throwing, fielding groundballs and hitting off a tee Friday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Rengifo landed on the injured list July 5 due to right wrist inflammation, and the increased activity is a good indication that he'll be back in action soon. It remains unclear if the Angels will send him for a brief rehab assignment before reinstating him from the IL.

Muncy (oblique) took soft toss Thursday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Muncy was shut down from swinging July 6 but has resumed swinging a bat by taking soft toss Thursday. While a firm timetable for return hasn't been established, Muncy has been ruled out until at least August, per manager Dave Roberts. Considering the 33-year-old hasn't played since May, he'll likely require a lengthy rehab assignment before being activated from the injured list.

Harris is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Angels.

Harris has been the Athletics' primary third baseman with Abraham Toro (hamstring) sidelined but could begin to split time with Max Schuemann at the hot corner now that top prospect Jacob Wilson is handling shortstop. Harris is slashing .163/.284/.302 with three home runs in 102 plate appearances.

Urias is not in the lineup for Friday's contest against the Rangers.

He also was out of the lineup for the final game of the first half, as the Orioles will again go with Jordan Westburg at third base and Jorge Mateo at second. Urias had started five straight contests against right-handed pitching before sitting out this one.

Berti will be given a PRP injection after suffering a setback with his left calf strain, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone deemed it a "minor" setback, but Berti won't be ready for rehab games this weekend as originally planned. It will also push back his timetable for a return, although that remains fluid. Berti has been shelved since late May.

The Reds designated Rios for assignment Friday.

Rios had his contract selected July 5 but logged only 10 plate appearances and went 1-for-9 with four strikeouts. He'll vacate his spot on the active roster for Stuart Fairchild (back). If Rios clears waivers, he'll likely remain with the Reds' organization.

Triple-A Durham activated Caminero (quadricep0 from the 7-day injured list Friday.

Caminero has been out since late May with a Grade 2 left quad strain but is ready to rejoin Durham's active roster after slugging three home runs in six rehab games with the Rays' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate. The top prospect had slashed .261/.333/.478 with eight home runs over 153 plate appearances with Durham this season before landing on the IL. He could push for a promotion to the majors later this season, though probably not until after the trade deadline.

Toro (hamstring) slotted in at designated hitter Thursday during a rehab game in the Arizona Complex League, going 0-for-1 with two walks.

Toro took a full game's worth of plate appearances in the seven-inning contest while suiting up on back-to-back days for the first time on his rehab assignment. The 27-year-old will likely bump up to a higher affiliate as soon as Friday when minor-league play resumes following the All-Star-break.

Senzel is in line to serve as the White Sox's primary second baseman for the second half of the season, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.

Senzel hasn't played second base at all in 2024 and has just 16 games (seven starts) under his belt at the position in the majors. However, the keystone is reportedly where the White Sox intend to use him most days after signing him to a one-year contract following his release from the Nationals. Senzel's positional situation should ultimately be fluid, and he's not guaranteed regular playing time if he doesn't perform.

Toro (hamstring) went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in the ACL Athletics' win over the ACL Angels on Wednesday.

The recovering veteran also logged a full workload at second base in the seven-inning contest, which is an encouraging development in his second rehab game. The bases-loaded blast was a bonus against a much lower caliber of competition than Toro normally faces, and it's likely he's bumped up to a higher affiliate as soon as post-All-Star-break play resumes Friday.
