Nick Madrigal 3B | LAA
Cubs' Nick Madrigal: Not starting
Madrigal is out of the lineup Friday against the Blue Jays.
Madrigal was omitted from the starting lineup for the first time since Aug. 2. In the seven games since, the infielder is 5-for-23 with zero extra-base hits. With Seiya Suzuki getting less playing time recently, Madrigal has seen more time on the field, but with Suzuki coming off a great game and starting Friday against righty Jose Berrios, Madrigal may be in danger of seeing less playing time.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Remains out with tight calf
LeMahieu (calf) remains out of the lineup Friday at Miami.
LeMahieu was scratched from Wednesday's series finale versus the White Sox due to right calf tightness and will take another day off for rest and treatment. Imaging scans taken Thursday showed no structural damage, per Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record. Isiah Kiner-Falefa is covering third base and batting leadoff Friday versus the Marlins.

Nick Senzel 3B | LAD
Reds' Nick Senzel: Sent to Triple-A
Senzel was optioned to Triple-A Louisville on Friday.
He had been starting at third base roughly two-thirds of the time lately, but the Reds will select Henry Ramos' contract to take Senzel's place on the active roster. On the season, the 28-year-old has been worth -0.6 fWAR while slashing .219/.290/.368 with nine home runs and five steals in 80 games.

Abraham Toro 1B | BOS
Brewers' Abraham Toro: Recalled to Milwaukee
The Brewers recalled Toro from Triple-A Nashville on Friday.
With Blake Perkins (oblique) landing on the injured list Friday, Toro will come up from the minors to provide Milwaukee with a bench bat. He went 4-for-10 with a homer and four RBI during his last stint with the Brewers, but Toro likely won't see consistent playing time.

Tyler Freeman 3B | COL
Guardians' Tyler Freeman: Beginning rehab assignment
Freeman (shoulder) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Columbus on Friday, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.
Freeman has been out of action for just over a week with shoulder soreness that first popped up Aug. 1 versus the Astros. The fact that he's already set for a rehab assignment is a positive sign that he could be activated when first eligible. What's less clear is where Freeman might fit in the Guardians' infield once he returns, as Brayan Rocchio and Gabriel Arias have both enjoyed some success with more playing time in recent weeks.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Picks up 17th steal
Ramirez went 0-for-2 with a pair of walks and a stolen base in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Blue Jays.
Ramirez struggled during this week's four-game series against Toronto, going 1-for-13 with two walks. The steal was his fourth in his last 10 games and his 17th of the year. The third baseman has a .283/.356/.487 slash line with 18 home runs, 65 RBI and 67 runs scored through 112 contests. His appeal of a three-game suspension stemming from an incident Saturday versus the White Sox is still pending.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Keys offense in win
Muncy went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and a walk in a 2-1 win against Colorado on Thursday.
Muncy knocked in both Dodgers runs in the contest, swatting a solo shot to right field in the seventh inning and drawing a bases-loaded walk in the eighth. The long ball was his first in August and only his third hit -- Muncy came into the contest batting just .133 (2-for-15) in the month. The third baseman has, however, posted a 9:6 BB:K during that span, and he ranks fourth among qualified batters with a 16.4 percent walk rate on the season.

Zack Gelof 2B | ATH
Athletics' Zack Gelof: Smacks sixth homer Wednesday
Gelof went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the Rangers on Wednesday.
Gelof made the most noise on either side during a night in which both teams were quiet offensively. The rookie has now left the yard in five of the last 11 games, and he's laced 13 of his first 21 big-league hits overall for extra bases.

Ramon Urias 3B | STL
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Returns to Baltimore lineup
Urias (heel) is starting at third base and batting eighth in his return to the lineup Thursday versus the Astros, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Urias was removed from Tuesday's loss to Houston and didn't start Wednesday because of left heel soreness. He's ready to go now, though, and will be looking to extend a modest four-game hitting streak.

Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Belts another homer Wednesday
Hayes went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to Atlanta.
Moved up to the leadoff spot against southpaw Max Fried, Hayes rapped out singles in the third and fourth innings before launching a solo shot off Collin McHugh in the seventh. The 26-year-old third baseman has five hits, including two homers and a double, over the last two games, and while he's missed significant action over the last couple months due to injuries, since the beginning of June he's slashing .312/.321/.514 in 28 contests with five of his seven home runs on the season and 20 of his 39 RBI.
