Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Undergoing MRI on calf
Donaldson will undergo an MRI on his right calf after it flared up on him again in Saturday's win over the Rockies, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
Donaldson initially tweaked his calf a couple weeks ago and has often been limited to designated hitter of late as a result. He felt something in the calf again Saturday during his final plate appearance and will undergo testing. For what it's worth, Phillips notes that Yankees manager Aaron Boone "didn't sound optimistic" about Donaldson's condition.

Edmundo Sosa 3B | PHI
Phillies' Edmundo Sosa: Dealing with cramp
Sosa exited the second game of Saturday's doubleheader versus the Padres due to a cramp, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Sosa had a rough half-inning in the seventh, reaching base on a hit-by-pitch to the hand, then getting lifted after looking gimpy running from second to third. However, it looks like he's managed to avoid a serious injury in both cases. Consider Sosa day-to-day.

Phillies' Edmundo Sosa: Exits with apparent leg injury
Sosa was lifted from the second game of Saturday's doubleheader versus the Padres with an apparent leg injury, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Nationals' Jeimer Candelario: Remains out for nightcap
Candelario (thumb) isn't in the Nationals' lineup for Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Cardinals, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Candelario was pulled from the first inning of Friday's game (which was later suspended to Saturday) due to a bone bruise in his right thumb. He will now be held out of both games Saturday and could be facing a trip to the injured list if his condition doesn't soon improve. Ildemaro Vargas will start at third base and bat fifth during the nightcap.

Brian Anderson RF | ATL
Brewers' Brian Anderson: Remains out Saturday
Anderson (back) isn't in the Brewers' lineup Saturday against the Reds.
Anderson was scratched ahead of Friday's game with lower-back discomfort, and it appears it will keep him out for another game Saturday. Andruw Monasterio will start at third base and bat seventh, and Tyrone Taylor will start in right field while batting fifth.

Jose Miranda 3B | MIN
Twins' Jose Miranda: Officially placed on injured list
Miranda was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday due to a right shoulder impingement.
Miranda was scratched Friday due to shoulder soreness, an issue which turns out to be serious enough to sideline him for at least 10 days. The young third baseman has dealt with shoulder issues this season dating back to spring training, which may partially explain his poor .211/.263/.303 slash line. Matt Wallner was recalled to take his place on the roster.

Trey Cabbage 1B | PIT
Angels' Trey Cabbage: Makes big-league debut
Cabbage grounded out as a pinch hitter in his only plate appearance against Houston on Friday.
Cabbage received his first major-league call-up Friday and pinch hit for Michael Stefanic in the eighth inning, grounding into a fielder's choice with a pair of runners on base and one out. Cabbage has impressed in the minors over the past two seasons, including at Triple-A this year, where he slashed .287/.358/.576 with 23 homers, 64 RBI and 24 steals -- albeit with a 31.3 percent strikeout rate -- over 81 games. The 26-year-old may get a decent look with the Angels currently wracked by injuries to multiple position players, but he isn't expected to see an everyday role.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Registers 10th steal
Ramirez went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in Friday's 12-4 loss to the Rangers.
Ramirez's steal was his 10th of the season and his first since June 29. The third baseman has hit safely in six straight games, going 7-for-23 (.304) in that span, though he has just one RBI on a solo home run during that stretch. He's maintained a strong .287/.362/.501 slash line with 14 homers, 53 RBI, 55 runs scored, 23 doubles and four triples through 87 contests.

Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU
Rays' Isaac Paredes: Not in lineup
Paredes will sit for the first half of Saturday's doubleheader against the Royals, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Paredes had a very productive first half, hitting .265/.370/.504 with 16 homers in 80 games. Taylor Walls will start at second base in the first game of Saturday's twin bill, but Paredes could return for the nightcap.
