Farmer is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Astros.

With Royce Lewis (knee) starting at third base in his return from the 60-day injured list and with Carlos Correa having recently overcome a foot issue, Farmer no longer appears to have a clear path to steady playing time on the left side of the infield. He could challenge Edouard Julien for work at the keystone, but neither player will be anything more than a stopgap solution at the position with Jorge Polanco (hamstring) seemingly close to a return from the 10-day IL. After starting in each of the last nine games, Farmer looks set to see a big downturn in opportunities while he transitions into more of a utility role.

Lewis (knee) will start at third base and bat fifth Monday against the Astros.

In his return from the 60-day injured list, Lewis will immediately settle into the heart of the batting order, but because Byron Buxton is sitting out the series opener for rest purposes, the 23-year-old could move down a spot in future contests. Regardless, Lewis looks as though he'll get an extended run as the Twins' primary third baseman after he recently completed a productive 10-game rehab assignment between Double-A Wichita and Triple-A St. Paul, during which he slashed .333/.395/.692 with six extra-base hits and four stolen bases. Lewis has seemingly shown no sign of being slowed down on the basepaths as he makes his way back from the ACL tear he suffered last May, and he could emerge as a true five-category asset now that he's back from the IL.

Wisdom is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays.

Wisdom started at third base in both of the final two games of the Cubs' series with the Reds this past weekend, going 3-for-6 with a pair of home runs, five RBI, one walk and an additional run. The big finish to the week ended a 2-for-28 skid over the previous nine games, during which Wisdom struck out a whopping 18 times. Miles Mastrobuoni will get a look at the hot corner Monday, and though Wisdom still appears to be the Cubs' preferred option at the position, his tendency to run hot and cold at the plate likely won't give him much job security.

Senzel went 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Cubs.

Senzel picked up RBI on a single in the second and a double in the seventh while also drawing multiple walks in a game for just the third time this year. The 28-year-old has seven RBI over his last seven contests and is slashing .346/.406/.423 over that span. He does have only three extra-base hits since May 16 but has managed to be timely as of late in run-scoring opportunities. For the year, Senzel is now slashing .264/.337/.396 with four homers, 25 RBI, 22 runs and a 16:33 K:BB over 163 plate appearances.

Garcia is not in the starting lineup Monday versus the Cardinals, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.

Garcia will get a day off after he went 8-for-28 with three doubles, two RBI, three runs scored and two stolen bases while starting each of the last eight games. Nicky Lopez will replace Garcia at third base and bat eighth in the series opener with St. Louis.

Newman went 2-for-2 with three walks and an RBI in Sunday's win over the Cubs.

Newman miraculously reached base in all five of his at bats and never scored a run even with the Reds totaling eight runs in Sunday's contest. It didn't help that the two guys hitting behind him combined to go 0-for-9, but Newman has now put together four straight multi-hit games and has raised his batting average 40 points over that span. The Reds' infield is too crowded at the moment for Newman to see consistent playing time, but he'll continue to be given opportunities while he's swinging a hot bat.

Devers went 0-for-5 in Sunday's 4-2 loss to Arizona.

Devers returned to the lineup after missing the first two games of the series with a calf strain. The third baseman's 0-fer included two at-bats with with runners in scoring position. Devers has just two hits over the last 26 at-bats.

Henderson is not in the starting lineup Monday against the Guardians, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Henderson will take a seat as the Orioles face off with left-hander Logan Allen on Monday. The 21-year-old has struggled to find his stride this season, batting just .200 over 145 at-bats, though he is seeing the ball a little better recently, batting .267 over his last 14 contests. Righty bat Ramon Urias will draw the start at third base and bat fifth in the series opener with Cleveland.

The Twins reinstated Lewis (knee) from the 60-day injured list Monday.

Minnesota is adding some reinforcements to its lineup ahead of Monday's series opener in Houston, as Lewis and outfielder Max Kepler (hamstring) are both returning from the IL. Manager Rocco Baldelli hasn't gone into specifics about his plans for Lewis, but the 24-year-old should get the chance to play on at least a semi-regular basis after he looked fully recovered from the torn ACL he suffered last season during his recent eight-game rehab assignment at Triple-A St. Paul. While seeing time at both third base and shortstop, Lewis slashed .333/.371/.727 with four home runs and two stolen bases across 35 plate appearances. The five-category upside he brings to the table makes Lewis worth at least a cursory pickup if he's available on the waiver wire, even in shallower leagues.

Wisdom went 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs, a walk and five RBI in Sunday's 8-5 loss to the Reds.

Wisdom drove in all five runs for the Cubs after hitting a home run in the second and then another in the eighth. Sunday was just his second multi-hit game this month and his first long ball since May 10. He had been held out of the lineup two of the previous three times the Cubs had faced a righty and will likely need to bring his strikeouts down before he can be considered as a regular fixture again. The 31-year-old is now slashing .225/.316/.556 with 14 homers, 28 RBI, 28 runs and a 19:65 BB:K over 172 plate appearances.
