  • Royce Lewis 3B | MIN

Twins' Royce Lewis: Plays well in rehab game

Lewis (knee) went 2-for-3 with a double, stolen base, three runs scored and a walk in a rehab game with Double-A Wichita on Saturday, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

Lewis went 0-for-3 in his rehab debut with Wichita on Friday but turned things on in his second opportunity. The shortstop is working his way back from the torn ACL he suffered last summer while making a spectacular catch in the outfield as a member of the Twins. Lewis will likely need a lengthy rehab assignment, but he should be up with Minnesota sometime this summer as a player that offers significant fantasy upside.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Angels' Anthony Rendon: Removed with left groin tightness

Rendon was removed from Saturday's game against the Guardians with left groin tightness.

Rendon was replaced by Luis Rengifo with Rengifo moving to second base, Gio Urshela going from first to third and Brandon Drury heading from second to first. Rendon should be considered day-to-day, but it seems likely he'll undergo further testing before his availability is determined for the coming days.

  • Edmundo Sosa 3B | PHI

Phillies' Edmundo Sosa: Heads to bench

Sosa will sit Saturday against the Rockies.

In the absence of Rhys Hoskins (knee) and Darick Hall (thumb), the Phillies have settled on a corner-infield configuration of Sosa at third base and Alec Bohm at first in most games. That was the setup for the last eight games, but it will be Kody Clemens at first and Bohm at third this time around.

  • Jake Burger 3B | TEX

White Sox's Jake Burger: Ready for Sunday activation

Burger (oblique) has joined the team and will likely be activated ahead of Sunday's game against the Astros, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Burger hit .224 with seven home runs, 11 runs and 14 RBI in 23 games prior to suffering a mild left oblique strain in early May. Yoan Moncada has since returned from his injury, but Eloy Jimenez's emergency appendectomy likely opens up regular work for Burger in the short term.

  • J.D. Davis 1B | LAA

Giants' J.D. Davis: Racks up three hits Friday

Davis went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Friday's 7-5 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Davis is 8-for-19 (.421) during his active five-game hitting streak, though his double Friday is his only extra-base hit in that span. With David Villar losing his grip on a starting role, Davis has settled in as the Giants' primary third baseman. The 30-year-old has done well this season, slashing. 308/.379/.513 with seven home runs, 21 RBI, 13 runs scored and three doubles through 35 contests.

  • Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA

Cubs' Patrick Wisdom: Out of lineup

Wisdom will sit Saturday against the Twins.

Wisdom finds himself on the bench for the fourth time in the last seven games, with Nick Madrigal replacing him at third base on each of those occasions. Wisdom still owns an excellent .248/.348/.607 season slash line, while Madrigal is slashing just .254/.293/.324, so there's seemingly every chance Wisdom claws back a larger share of the role soon.

  • Curtis Mead 3B | WAS

Rays' Curtis Mead: Out with wrist injury

Mead is on the 7-day injured list with Triple-A Durham after getting hit on the wrist by a pitch April 29 and he could miss four weeks, according to Bulls play-by-play voice Patrick Kinas.

If he misses four weeks, that would have him returning around Memorial Day weekend. It's been a disappointing start to the season for Mead, as he was hitting .221 with two home runs and a 22:9 K:BB in 22 games prior to suffering the injury.

  • Nick Senzel 3B | LAD

Reds' Nick Senzel: Out of lineup

Senzel will sit Saturday against Miami.

Senzel has had a run of good health, and it's led to some strong performances. Over a string of 16 consecutive starts prior to Saturday's contest, Senzel hit .322/.385/.542 with three homers and a pair of steals. Kevin Newman will take over at the hot corner.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Angels' Anthony Rendon: Logs another multi-hit effort

Rendon went 3-for-5 with a double and a run in Friday's 5-4 win over Cleveland.

Rendon recorded his eighth multi-hit performance over his past 15 games in the victory, and he's slashing .382/.500/.491 over that span. Only four of the third baseman's 21 hits during the hot streak have gone for extra bases, but he's still been able to knock in 10 runs and score 13 over the stretch. A big part of Rendon's recent success has been his discerning eye at the plate -- over the 15-game span, he's drawn 10 walks while striking out just nine times. His excellent hitting of late has raised his season average to .307, ninth highest in the American League.

  • Evan Longoria 3B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Evan Longoria: Goes deep in win

Longoria went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 7-5 win over San Francisco.

Longoria got the start against a righty and made manager Torey Lovullo look smart when he snuck a ball just inside the left-field foul pole for his fifth homer of the season and second this week. Playing mostly against lefties, the 37-year-old Longoria hasn't been able to get into a groove at the dish and is batting just .227 (17-for-75). On a positive note, eight of his 17 hits are extra-base knocks.
