Madrigal (hamstring) is scheduled to run the bases Wednesday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

That will be a big step forward in his recovery from the right hamstring strain that sent him to the 10-day injured list July 4. It would appear that Madrigal could be back on the Cubs' active roster as soon as this weekend.

Cabbage is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

With southpaw Carlos Rodon on the hill for the Yankees, the lefty-hitting Cabbage will retreat to the bench, paving the way for Eduardo Escobar to pick up a start at first base. Cabbage, who went 4-for-10 with a pair of doubles and two RBI while starting each of the past three games, should have a fairly clear path to playing time versus right-handed pitching so long as both Anthony Rendon (shin) and Brandon Drury (shoulder) are on the IL.

Rivera is out of the lineup Wednesday versus Atlanta.

Evan Longoria will play third base and bat sixth after Rivera logged three straight starts at the hot corner. Rivera seems to have again gained a leg up on the position, though his overall offensive production remains rather underwhelming for fantasy purposes.

Moustakas is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Yankees.

Eduardo Escobar will cover first base and Luis Rengifo is at third as the Angels take on left-hander Carlos Rodon. The left-handed-hitting Moustakas has slashed just .257/.316/.371 this year versus southpaws.

Monasterio will start at third base and bat seventh Wednesday against the Phillies.

With Brian Anderson (back) recently joining Rowdy Tellez (forearm) on the 10-day injured list, the Brewers have turned to Owen Miller and Monasterio as their primary options at the two corner-infield spots. Monasterio will man the hot corner for the fifth game in a row after going 4-for-14 with a double, a walk, three runs and two RBI over the previous four contests.

Devers (calf) will start at third base and bat cleanup in Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Devers missed the first two games of the series in Oakland with a tight right calf, but he looks like he'll try and give it a go Wednesday. Fantasy players planning to use Devers in DFS lineups may still want to keep close tabs on the Boston lineup leading up to the 3:37 p.m. ET opening pitch just to ensure he isn't a late scratch.

Gelof is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.

Gelof will hit the bench for the first time since receiving a promotion from Triple-A Las Vegas following the All-Star break. While starting at second base in each of his first five big-league contests, Gelof went 4-for-19 with two doubles, one triple, one walk, three runs, two RBI and two stolen bases. Jordan Diaz will spell him at the keystone in the series finale.

Walls will start at shortstop and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Rangers, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Walls remains without a direct path to a spot in the everyday lineup, but he's picked up starts in four of the Rays' first six games out of the All-Star break at either second base, third base or shortstop. He'll be filling Wednesday for a resting Wander Franco, but despite his versatility, Walls isn't expected to handle a near-everyday role for the balance of the season while all of Tampa Bay's key infielders are available. Walls got off to a strong start to the season at the plate, but since the beginning of June, he's turned in a woeful .152/.264/.200 slash line.

Segura is not in the starting lineup Wednesday versus the Cardinals, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Segura will get a breather after he went 1-for-8 with a walk and a strikeout over the first two games of the series. Jon Berti will take over at third base and bat sixth in the series finale with St. Louis.

Bride owns a .381 average, 1.128 OPS and modest 15.1 percent strikeout rate over the 53 plate appearances covering his last 11 games with Triple-A Las Vegas.

The 27-year-old is back to thriving in the Pacific Coast League, something he's consistently been able to do through his multiple stints with the Aviators over the last season-plus. Bride went 0-for-8 in his first two games back with Las Vegas after being demoted from the Athletics, but he's since churned out six multi-hit efforts, five extra-base hits, eight RBI, 11 walks and 15 runs over the ensuing 11-game span. Bride could potentially earn another call to the big leagues later this summer or upon roster expansion during the final month-plus of the regular season.
