Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU
Rays' Isaac Paredes: Goes deep twice; draws three walks
Paredes went 2-for-2 with two home runs, three RBI and three walks in Sunday's 12-4 win over the Red Sox.
Paredes got the scoring started with a solo shot in the second inning, followed by a two-run homer in the fourth, both against starter Nick Pivetta. The rookie infielder has gone deep four times in his last six appearances after snapping a 21-game homerless drought. He's now slashing .225/.306/.484 with 18 home runs, 40 RBI and a 48:29 K:BB through 291 plate appearances this season.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Goes deep again Sunday
Candelario went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double and a two-run home run in Sunday's 9-8 win over the Rangers.
It's been a rough season for Candelario, who is batting just .202 with a .620 OPS. However, he's now riding a four-game hitting streak and has gone deep in consecutive contests, giving him 12 home runs this year. Candelario batted .271 with a .794 OPS and 16 home runs in 2021, so he's certainly capable of finishing 2022 on a more positive note.

Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Giants' Evan Longoria: Injury believed to be mild
Longoria (hamstring) isn't believed to be dealing with a significant injury, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Longoria exited Sunday's game against the Twins due to left hamstring tightness, but he isn't expected to require a trip to the injured list. If the Giants hold the 36-year-old out for any games, J.D. Davis will likely see increased playing time.

Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Giants' Evan Longoria: Exits with left hamstring injury
Longoria was removed in the fifth inning of Sunday's game against the Twins with left hamstring tightness, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. He went 1-for-3 with a double and a run prior to departing.
Longoria previously spent 14 days on the shelf with a right hamstring injury coming out off the All-Star break, but it's the other hamstring that's presenting discomfort this time around. The Giants may send Longoria in for an MRI before deciding his next steps, but given his advancing age and persistent issues with lower-body injuries, it wouldn't be surprising if he required another stint on the injured list. J.D. Davis would likely benefit the most from a playing-time standpoint if Longoria is deactivated again.

Austin Riley 3B | ATL
Braves' Austin Riley: Turns in three-hit performance
Riley went 3-for-4 with an RBI double and a run in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Cardinals.
Riley has left the yard just once in his last 17 games and is batting just .206 during that stretch, but his presence in a loaded Atlanta lineup has allowed him to pick up nine RBI and eight runs. He'll remain in the lineup for Sunday's series finale, manning third base and batting third.

Athletics' Jonah Bride: Out of Sunday's lineup
Bride is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

Kevin Newman 3B | LAA
Pirates' Kevin Newman: Takes seat Sunday
Newman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.
Newman will get a breather after batting .291 with a home run and 10 additional runs while starting in each of the Pirates' last 14 contests. Tucupita Marcano will fill in at the keystone for Newman in the series finale in Philadelphia.
-
Rodolfo Castro 2B | PHI
Pirates' Rodolfo Castro: Back in action Sunday
Castro will return from a one-game suspension to start at third base and bat fifth in Sunday's game against the Phillies.
The suspension stemmed from Castro being spotted with a cell phone in his uniform during an Aug. 9 contest against the Diamondbacks. The mishap hasn't prevented him from gaining traction as a regular in the Pittsburgh lineup, as he slashed .327/.375/.615 while starting in 15 of the last 16 games before serving his one-game ban. He'll fill in for a resting Kevin Newman in Sunday's series finale.
-
Emmanuel Rivera 3B | BAL
Diamondbacks' Emmanuel Rivera: Bows out of starting nine
Rivera is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
Sergio Alcantara will get a turn at third base while Rivera rests for the series finale. Rivera had started in each of the Diamondbacks' last seven games and went 6-for-26 with a home run, five walks, two doubles, five runs and five RBI over that stretch.

Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN
Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Belts 24th homer in loss
Suarez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a loss to the Guardians on Saturday.
Suarez uncorked his 24th homer of the season in the second inning off Zach Plesac to open the scoring on the night.
