Tigers third baseman Nick Castellanos is getting the day off for Sunday's game against the Indians.
Starting in Castellanos' place is Andrew Romine. James McCann is also out of the starting lineup as Bryan Holaday is in his place at catcher. Anthony Gose, who hit ninth the past two days, is back to the leadoff spot.

Curt Casali gets start behind plate for Rays
Rays catcher Curt Casali will get his first start of the season on Saturday.
Casali, who was just recalled from Triple-A Durham, is in the Rays' lineup, playing catcher and batting ninth.
Casali will be playing his first MLB game since last Septemer 24. He played in 30 games with the Rays at the end of the 2014 season. He's hitting .205 with four home runs and 13 RBI at Durham this season.

Rays promote C Curt Casali from Triple-A
The Rays have recalled catcher Curt Casali from Triple-A Durham, according to the Tampa Bay Times. Casali appeared in 30 games for the Rays in 2014, but has spent this season with Durham.
Casali was batting .205/.326/.348 with four home runs and 13 RBI in 32 games at Triple-A.

Indians catcher Roberto Perez drove in two runs during a 6-0 win Thursday against the Mariners. Both of his RBI came on a two-out single in the third inning.
Perez finished 2 for 3. It was his fourth multihit game, but first since April 29. He does have one home run and six RBI in his last six games.

Royals C Salvador Perez collects two hits in Tuesday's win
Royals catcher Salvador Perez went 2 for 4 at the plate to help lead the Royals to a 2-0 win over the Twins on Tuesday.
His biggest hit came in the ninth inning when he hit his ninth home run of the season off Boyer for his only RBI of the game. Prior to his two-hit game Tuesday, Perez was hitting .162 with three home runs and three RBI in his last 11 games.

Indians catcher Yan Gomes belted his first two home runs of the season Tuesday, but the Indians lost 3-2 to the Mariners.
Gomes hit the solo shots off Roenis Elias in the second inning and Carson Smith in the ninth inning. He finished the game 2 for 4 with two RBI. Prior to his two home runs Tuesday, Gomes was hitting .320 with no home runs or RBI in his last six games.

Royals catcher Salvador Perez went 1 for 4 with a solo home run in his team's 4-3 win over the Rangers on Sunday.
Perez's homer was a big one, as the eighth-inning blast broke a 3-3 tie and kept the Royals from being swept at home by the Rangers. He has hit .277/.286/.452 with eight homers and 27 RBI in 188 at-bats.

McCann, who entered the game with just two hits in his previous five games, belted an RBI double among his three hits. He also scored a run, increasing his batting average to .285 on the season.
