Cal Raleigh C | SEA
Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Game-winning long ball Sunday
Raleigh went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in a win over the Astros on Sunday.
The 27-year-old cleared the fences for the second straight game, launching a tie-breaking homer in the ninth inning that would turn out to be the difference in the contest. Raleigh has now reached safely in four the last five games, but he's still carrying a lackluster .210 average and .288 on-base percentage across 118 plate appearances.

Jonah Heim C | ATL
Rangers' Jonah Heim: Sends game into extra frame
Heim went 1-for-3 with a walk and solo home run in Sunday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Royals.
Heim knotted the game at two runs apiece with a ninth-inning home run that set the stage for Nathaniel Lowe's game-winning single in the 10th. For Heim, it was his fourth homer and first in 12 games. He's appeared in 29 of the team's first 35 games, which is a lot for a catcher whose bat has tailed off in August and September in each of the past two seasons.

Shea Langeliers C | ATH
Athletics' Shea Langeliers: Getting maintenance day
Langeliers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.
Langeliers was probably overdue for a day off, as he had started at catcher or served as a designated hitter in each of Oakland's last five games. Kyle McCann will get a turn behind the plate in Sunday's series finale.

Korey Lee C | CHW
White Sox's Korey Lee: Getting rest Sunday
Lee is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
Lee will hit the bench for the series finale after he caught all 10 innings of Saturday's 6-5 win while going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Martin Maldonado will draw the nod behind the plate Sunday.
-
Connor Wong C | BOS
Red Sox's Connor Wong: Taking seat Sunday
Wong is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.
Wong went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts Saturday and will hit the bench for Sunday's series finale in Minnesota. Reese McGuire will step in behind the plate to catch for righty Cooper Criswell.

Freddy Fermin C | SD
Royals' Freddy Fermin: Workload picking up
Fermin will start at catcher and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Rangers.
Fermin will be behind the dish for the fifth time in seven games while Salvador Perez gets a day off from catching and serves as the Royals' designated hitter. Nelson Velazquez has served as the Royals' primary DH all season, but he's been occupying more of a part-time role of late as manager Matt Quartaro has look to make room in the lineup for Fermin, who has gone 5-for-18 with a solo home run and three walks over his last six games.

Ben Rortvedt C | NYM
Rays' Ben Rortvedt: Not in Sunday's lineup
Rortvedt is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.
Rortvedt started four of the previous five games but will receive Sunday off after he went 3-for-12 with four strikeouts during that stretch. Alex Jackson will step in behind the plate to catch for Ryan Pepiot on Sunday.

Logan O'Hoppe C | LAA
Angels' Logan O'Hoppe: Not starting Sunday
O'Hoppe (hand) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.
As expected, O'Hoppe will be on the bench for the day game to close out the series in Cleveland after he exited Saturday's 7-1 loss with a right hand contusion. Matt Thaiss will step in behind the plate for O'Hoppe, who should be viewed as day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener in Pittsburgh. According to Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register, O'Hoppe has already resumed throwing and was scheduled to take batting practice Sunday, so he could be available off the bench in an emergency.

Austin Wells C | NYY
Yankees' Austin Wells: On bench in second straight
Wells is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.
After sitting against Tigers right-hander Casey Mize in Saturday's 5-3 win, the lefty-hitting Wells will remain on the bench Sunday with southpaw Tarik Skubal on the hill for Detroit. The Yankees may be opting for more of a timeshare at catcher between Wells and the right-handed-hitting Jose Trevino rather than a true platoon, given that Trevino has been the better performer of the two this season. Trevino heads into Sunday's game with a .719 OPS, more than 100 points higher than Wells' mark (.592).
