Garver is not in the starting lineup Tuesday versus the White Sox.

Garver will get a breather after he went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a strikeout in Monday's victory. Ezequiel Duran will slot in at designated hitter while Travis Jankowski enters the lineup in left field and bats eighth against Chicago.

Godoy was up with the big club as their backup catcher for a couple days, but the Orioles have elected to swap him out with Anthony Bemboom. The 28-year-old will head back to Norfolk to join the affiliate's catching corps.

Vazquez went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk Monday in a loss to the Red Sox.

Vazquez accounted for all of Minnesota's runs in the contest with his three-run shot in the fifth inning. It was the first long ball in what has been a poor offensive campaign for the backstop, as he's posted a .224/.299/.286 slash line over 164 plate appearances. Vazquez went deep 23 times for Boston in in 2019 but hasn't exceeded double-digit homers in any of his other eight major-league campaigns.

The Blue Jays recalled Heineman from Triple-A Buffalo on Monday.

He'll provide the Blue Jays with an extra body at catcher behind No. 1 backstop Danny Jansen after Alejandro Kirk (hand) was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday. Jansen should handle the bulk of the work behind the dish while Kirk is on the shelf, so Heineman may be in store for just a couple starts per week during his upcoming stint in the big leagues.

Toronto called up Tyler Heineman from Triple-A Buffalo to provide depth behind top backstop Danny Jansen.

Kirk was fortunate to avoid a fracture when his left hand was hit by a pitch in Sunday's 11-7 loss to the Rangers, but he sustained a cut and a bruise and will get at least one day off to recover. Danny Jansen draws the starting nod behind the plate in Monday's series opener in Miami, while rookie Spencer Horwitz serves as Toronto's designated hitter.

Heim went 1-for-4 with a walk and solo home run in Sunday's 11-7 win over the Blue Jays.

Heim led off the bottom of the fifth inning with a home run to knot the game after the Rangers fell behind, 6-0, early. It was the second straight game with a home run for Heim, who has nine for the season along with 49 RBI through 62 games. He served as the designated hitter Sunday while Mitch Garver caught, something the Rangers can do more of with three catchers on the roster. Keeping Heim fresh over the long haul is a goal after the backstop tired over the second half of 2022.
