Jonah Heim C | ATL
Rangers' Jonah Heim: Homers in second straight
Heim went 1-for-4 with a walk and solo home run in Sunday's 11-7 win over the Blue Jays.
Heim led off the bottom of the fifth inning with a home run to knot the game after the Rangers fell behind, 6-0, early. It was the second straight game with a home run for Heim, who has nine for the season along with 49 RBI through 62 games. He served as the designated hitter Sunday while Mitch Garver caught, something the Rangers can do more of with three catchers on the roster. Keeping Heim fresh over the long haul is a goal after the backstop tired over the second half of 2022.

Wong isn't starting the second game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Yankees, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Yankees' Jose Trevino: On bench for nightcap
Trevino isn't in the lineup for the second game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Red Sox.

Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk: Avoids fracture
Kirk had X-rays on his left hand come back clean and was diagnosed with a laceration and a contusion Sunday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
Kirk exited Sunday's game at Texas after being hit by a pitch on the hand during his first plate appearance. The 24-year-old should be considered day-to-day as he continues to be evaluated, but it appears he's avoided a serious injury.

Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk: Pulled after HBP
Kirk was removed from Sunday's game against the Rangers after being hit by a pitch on the hand, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
The 24-year-old was hit by the pitch to open the second inning and was quickly replaced by Danny Jansen. Kirk is likely headed for X-rays and should be considered day-to-day as he continues to be evaluated.

Matt Thaiss C | BOS
Angels' Matt Thaiss: Sitting Sunday
Thaiss is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.
Thaiss went 0-for-7 with a walk and an RBI in the first two games of the series in Kansas City and will take a seat for Sunday's finale. Chad Wallach will step in behind the plate to catch for Tyler Anderson.
-
Eric Haase C | SF
Tigers' Eric Haase: Starting Sunday
Haase is starting at catcher and batting ninth in Sunday's game against the Twins.
After Jake Rogers got the start behind the plate Saturday, Haase will take over Sunday. Haase did appear as a pinch hitter in the ninth inning in the last contest. He's batting just .221 this season and only .188 in the month, making him a fairly uninspiring fantasy asset at the moment.

Danny Jansen C | TEX
Blue Jays' Danny Jansen: Gets rest day Sunday
Jansen is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game versus Texas.
Jansen earns a day of rest for the series finale Sunday after homering in the loss to the Rangers on Saturday. Alejandro Kirk will get the start behind the plate and hit fifth while Spencer Horwitz hits seventh and lines up as the designated hitter.

James McCann C | ARI
Orioles' James McCann: Placed on IL due to ankle sprain
Baltimore placed McCann on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a left ankle sprain.
McCann was considered day-to-day with the ankle injury he suffered while sliding into first base, but the Orioles will have the backstop out for at least 10 days instead of playing shorthanded. Jose Godoy had his contract selected from Triple-A Norfolk in the corresponding move.

Jose Godoy C | TEX
Orioles' Jose Godoy: Contract selected from Triple-A
Baltimore selected Godoy's contract from Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday.
Godoy takes the roster spot of James McCann, as McCann was placed on the injured list prior to Sunday's game versus the Cubs with a left ankle sprain. Acquired from the Yankees in a trade at the beginning of June, Godoy will be the backup backstop to Adley Rutschman while he's on the major-league roster.
