Kyle Higashioka C | TEX
Yankees' Kyle Higashioka: Resting for Game 2
Higashioka is out of the lineup for the second game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Rangers.
As expected, Higashioka will take a seat for the nightcap after catching all nine innings and going 0-for-2 at the plate in the Yankees' 2-1 win in the afternoon contest. Jose Trevino will catch for starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery in Game 2.

Mitch Garver DH | SEA
Rangers' Mitch Garver: Not starting nightcap
Garver is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Yankees.
Garver will take a seat for Game 2 after going 2-for-4 with two doubles and a strikeout during the matinee. Jonah Heim will work behind the plate in the nightcap and bat cleanup.

Martin Maldonado C | SD
Astros' Martin Maldonado: Receives rest day
Maldonado is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Maldonado will be getting some routine maintenance after he started at catcher each of the past three days. Jason Castro will relieve Maldonado behind the plate in the series finale.

Ryan Jeffers C | MIN
Twins' Ryan Jeffers: Idle Sunday
Jeffers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.
With the Twins and Athletics wrapping up their series with a day game, Jeffers will be getting a breather after he was behind the dish for Saturday's 1-0 win. Gary Sanchez will spell Jeffers at catcher, working in a battery with starting pitcher Chris Paddack.

Eric Haase C | SF
Tigers' Eric Haase: Starting Sunday
Haase is starting at catcher and batting eighth in Sunday's game against the Astros.
Tucker Barnhart will get the Sunday afternoon game off after starting Saturday night's contest. Haase has not been able to recapture last season's magic, as he's slashing just .140/.229/.233 across 43 at-bats. That should keep Barnhart in the lineup most days, and Haase doesn't figure to have a ton of fantasy value unless he gets going at the plate and can earn more playing time.

Tucker Barnhart C | TEX
Tigers' Tucker Barnhart: Day off Sunday
Barnhart is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.
Barnhart started Saturday and went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts, though he still has a respectable .259 batting average for the season. He'll get Sunday's series finale off, with Eric Haase taking over catching duties.

Jose Godoy C | TEX
Twins' Jose Godoy: Summoned from minors
The Twins recalled Godoy from Triple-A St. Paul on Sunday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
The addition of Godoy will allow the Twins to deploy Gary Sanchez primarily as a designated hitter while Ryan Jeffers serves as the team's everyday catcher. Sanchez could still be used behind the plate on the days Jeffers is out of the lineup, so Godoy won't be a lock to receive any starts during his upcoming stint with the big club.
-
Chad Wallach C | ATH
Angels' Chad Wallach: Joins active roster
Wallach's contract was selected by the Angels on Saturday, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.
Wallach is set to back up Max Stassi, with Kurt Suzuki (undisclosed) heading to the injured list. Wallach has hit just .207/.271/.303 in 78 career games at the major-league level, so he'd be an unexciting fantasy option even if an injury to Stassi opens up an unexpected starting role.
-
Zack Collins C | CLE
Blue Jays' Zack Collins: Not starting nightcap
Collins isn't starting the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Guardians.
Collins started behind the plate in the first game of the twin bill and went 0-for-3 with a run, two walks and a strikeout. Alejandro Kirk will start at catcher while George Springer serves as the designated hitter in Saturday's matinee.
-
Austin Hedges C | CLE
Guardians' Austin Hedges: On bench for night game
Hedges will sit for the second half of Saturday's doubleheader against Toronto.
Hedges went 0-for-3 in the afternoon contest, dropping his OPS on the season down to .498. Luke Maile will be the catcher for the nightcap.
