Blue Jays' Danny Jansen: Nursing tight hamstring
Jansen's exit from Wednesday's game against the Red Sox was due to right hamstring tightness, Mitch Bannon of SI.com reports.
Manager Charlie Montoyo said the team will reevaluate Jansen, who recently spent time on the injured list with a strain to the same hamstring, on Thursday. The skipper also suggested the possibility of Alejandro Kirk joining the Blue Jays if Jansen faces a considerable absence.

Blue Jays' Danny Jansen: Exits with injury
Jansen was removed from Wednesday's game against the Red Sox after suffering an apparent leg injury, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
The 26-year-old limped his way to second base on a seventh-inning double and was replaced by Reese McGuire. It's unclear what Jansen injured, but details about his condition should come out following the game, if not sooner.

Reese McGuire C | CHW
Blue Jays' Reese McGuire: On bench Wednesday
McGuire is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Red Sox.
McGuire was scheduled for a day off Tuesday before the contest was postponed, and manager Charlie Montoyo will stick with the same order Wednesday. Danny Jansen will work behind the plate and bat ninth for Toronto.

Mitch Garver DH | SEA
Twins' Mitch Garver: Resting Wednesday
Garver is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.
Manager Rocco Baldelli will extend Garver some maintenance for the series finale after the backstop made his return from groin surgery earlier in the week to make back-to-back starts at catcher. Ryan Jeffers will get the nod behind the plate Wednesday, but Garver should serve as Minnesota's clear No. 1 catcher now that he's back from the injured list.

Eric Haase C | SF
Tigers' Eric Haase: Idle Wednesday
Haase is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers.
After catching the past two games following Jake Rogers' (arm) placement on the 10-day injured list, Haase will get a breather for the series finale. Grayson Greiner checks in behind the plate, forming a battery with starting pitcher Matt Manning.

Jonah Heim C | ATL
Rangers' Jonah Heim: Gets breather Wednesday
Heim isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Tigers.
Heim drew starts in each of the last three games and went 1-for-8 with two strikeouts during that time. John Hicks will start behind the plate and bat fifth.

Cal Raleigh C | SEA
Mariners' Cal Raleigh: On bench Wednesday
Raleigh isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Rockies.
Raleigh went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI, a run and a walk in Tuesday's win over Colorado, but he'll retreat to the bench for the second time in the last three games. Tom Murphy will start at catcher and bat sixth.

Gary Sanchez C | MIL
Yankees' Gary Sanchez: Goes yard once again
Sanchez went 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk in Tuesday's win over Philadelphia.
The backstop went yard for the third time over his last five games, and in fact, three of his last four hits have cleared the fences. On the surface, his overall numbers might remain underwhelming since he's just hitting .220, but he owns a decent .809 OPS and has a realistic shot at posting the third 30-homer season of his career if he keeps seeing the ball as well as he's been seeing it of late.

Francisco Mejia C | TB
Rays' Francisco Mejia: Drives in five in win
Mejia went 2-for-4 with a triple, a home run, two runs scored and five RBI in Tuesday's 9-3 win over the Orioles.
The catcher launched a two-run shot off John Means in the fourth inning, then added some insurance with a bases-loaded triple in the eighth off Shaun Anderson. Mejia's outburst was either shocking or long overdue, depending on your perspective -- he hadn't gone yard since May 23 and hadn't even collected an RBI since June 22. On the season, he's slashing .255/.317/.416 with four homers and 19 RBI through 50 games.

Eric Haase C | SF
Tigers' Eric Haase: Homers in win
Haase went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Rangers.
Haase led off the fifth inning with a solo shot off Dane Dunning. The homer marks his first since July 8 and just his second hit since coming back from the All-Star break. Still, the Detroit native is enjoying a career year, and his utility as either a catcher or left fielder makes him an interesting fantasy player.
