Stephenson went 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI, a run scored and three strikeouts in Friday's 13-6 loss to the Cubs.

Stephenson helped build the Reds' lead in the fifth inning when he doubled in a run and eventually scored. It was his second consecutive game with an extra-base hit, a positive sign for Stephenson, who is batting .186 this season. When he makes contact, it's been positive for the catcher/DH, who has a 54.8 hard-hit percentage, but that's been offset by a 41.2 percent strikeout rate (28 Ks in 68 PAs).

Moreno entered Friday's game as a pinch hitter and hit a two-run home run in a 4-3 loss to the Cardinals.

Moreno batted for catcher Jose Herrera in the ninth inning and pulled the Diamondbacks closer. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo decided to pair starter Zac Gallen with Herrera, after the pitcher was rocked in his previous outing. Gallen has a better ERA this season with Herrera (3.56) than Moreno (6.89). The pitcher has a career 3.27 ERA over 34 games when paired with Herrera. The Gallen/Herrera arrangement could be how Lovullo operates going forward, so fantasy managers that roster Moreno should be cognizant of that.

Baldwin is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Padres.

Baldwin has received the lion's share of starts at catcher against right-handed pitching lately, but he will begin Friday's festivities on the bench as the Padres send righty Nick Pivetta to the hill. Sean Murphy is catching and batting sixth for Atlanta.

Moreno isn't part of the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Cardinals.

Moreno will yield to Jose Herrera behind the plate Friday, getting the night off after making three straight starts. Moreno is riding a five-game hit streak, going 8-for-19 (.421) with a pair of homers during that stretch.

Murphy is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals.

Murphy looks to have fallen into the short side of a platoon at catcher with rookie Drake Baldwin, who will make a fifth straight start against a right-hander (Trevor Williams) Thursday. On the flip side, seven of Murphy's last eight starts have come against left-handed pitching.

Marchan will start at catcher and bat ninth in Thursday's game against the Rockies.

With top backstop J.T. Realmuto getting a breather for the day game after a night game, Marchan will pick up his 10th start of the season. So long as Realmuto stays healthy, he'll likely shoulder one of the heaviest workloads among No. 1 catchers, leaving few opportunities available for Marchan.

Reamuto is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game in Colorado.

The Phillies are wrapping up their series in Colorado with a day game, and Realmuto had started at catcher in each of the first three contests versus the Rockies, so he'll get a breather for the finale. Rafael Marchan will start behind the dish and bat ninth as the Phillies try to complete the sweep.

Torrens went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double and a run scored in Wednesday's win over the Red Sox.

The 29-year-old catcher has started seven of 19 games in May, hitting safely in the last five while batting. 300 (6-for-20) on the month. Torrens hasn't provided much other production, supplying just one RBI and two runs over that stretch, but half his hits have gone for extra bases (two doubles and a triple) and he sports a 7:4 BB:K. Francisco Alvarez is entrenched as the Mets' starter behind the plate, but Torrens' workload and current form still give him some fantasy value in deep NL-only formats.

Goodman went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a stolen base Wednesday against the Phillies.

Goodman went hitless across the first two games of the Rockies' homestand but delivered a well-rounded line Wednesday. He remains one of Colorado's most consistent hitters and has hit .313 with two homers, 17 RBI and eight runs scored across 19 games in May.

Del Castillo (shoulder) served as the designated hitter and went 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored for the ACL Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Del Castillo began a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League as he works back from a shoulder strain that idled him for nearly two months. He emerged as a prospect in 2024 at Triple-A Reno and acquitted himself well in a cup of coffee in the majors. The view is that Del Castillo needs improvement in some areas behind the plate, but the bat could play in the majors. Once ready, he's expected to be assigned to Reno.
