  • Dodgers' Yasmani Grandal: Not in Sunday's lineup

Grandal is out of the lineup Sunday against the Cubs.

Grandal has appeared in the starting lineup for seven straight games -- his longest such stretch all season -- so it was likely time for a routine maintenance day. Austin Barnes will man the backstop in his stead.

  • Reds' Devin Mesoraco: Sitting again Sunday

Mesoraco is out of the lineup Sunday against the Phillies, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

With an .808 OPS on the campaign, Mesoraco has generally impressed since coming off the disabled list in late April, but the Reds remain eager to limit his workload behind the plate after the 28-year-old essentially lost the last two seasons to injury. As a result, Mesoraco will receive his second day off in a row, opening up another start for Tucker Barnhart.

  • Padres' Austin Hedges: Takes seat Sunday

Hedges is out of the lineup Sunday against the Nationals.

Hedges has made three straight starts behind the plate, but it will be Luis Torrens that gets the nod to catch Jhoulys Chacin in the series finale.

  • Cameron Rupp C | MIN

Phillies' Cameron Rupp: Heads to bench Sunday

Rupp is not in the lineup Sunday against the Reds, Stephen Gross of The Allentown Morning Callreports.

Rupp has made three consecutive starts behind the plate, but failed to register a base hit in any of those contests. He'll give way to the 25-year-old Andrew Knapp.

  • Mets' Travis d'Arnaud: Goes 3-for-5 with homer Saturday

D'Arnaud went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and two RBI during Saturday's extra-innings loss to Pittsburgh.

While the backstop has played just 25 games this season, he has shown impressive pop with a .515 slugging percentage. D'Arnaud's five homers, 18 RBI and 11 runs are also solid returns, as he continues to prove to be a serviceable fantasy asset when healthy. The problem is that he has been limited to just 620 plate appearances dating back to the 2015 campaign.

  • Cubs' Willson Contreras: Heads to bench Saturday

Contreras is not in the lineup Saturday against the Dodgers.

Contreras will head to the bench ahead of Sunday's matinee contest. Miguel Montero will take over behind the dish, while Contreras should return to the lineup for the series finale.

  • Reds' Devin Mesoraco: Out of Saturday's lineup

Mesoraco is out of Saturday's lineup against the Phillies, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

He has received 16 at-bats over the last week, and has a home run and 4:3 K:BB over that stretch. Tucker Barnhart will start behind the dish and hit eighth.

  • Dodgers' Yasmani Grandal: Smacks RBI double Friday

Grandal went 1-for-3 with an RBI double and a walk in Friday's 4-0 win over the Cubs.

Grandal's two-bagger drove home Corey Seager and was the slugging backstop's 16th RBI in May. The 28-year-old catcher has been knocking the cover off the ball during the month, as Friday's production brought his May line to .362/.405/.594. He's been making impactful contact as well, with the double representing his 12th extra-base hit of the month.

  • Marlins' J.T. Realmuto: Pops fourth homer Friday

Realmuto went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's win over the Angels.

The catcher continues to enjoy another strong season at the plate, collecting hits in 15 of his last 18 games to push his slash line on the season to .307/.366/.447. Fantasy GMs expecting another useful contribution in steals might be disappointed by Realmuto's 1-for-2 performance on the basepaths so far, but otherwise the 26-year-old is ahead of last year's career-best pace in every category.

  • Mets' Travis d'Arnaud: Sits out Friday

D'Arnaud is not in the lineup Friday against the Pirates.

The 28-year-old catcher returned from the disabled list Wednesday, but he'll get a night off after failing to pick up a hit since his activation. Rene Rivera will catch Jacob deGrom on Friday night.
