Bailey has been scratched from the starting lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox due to tightness in his right side, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Bailey is likely headed for additional testing to determine the severity of the injury. Curt Casali will handle the catching duties and bat ninth in Bailey's absence.

Dodgers' Hunter Feduccia: Called up Monday
Feduccia was called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday.
Feduccia will officially join the major-league roster, replacing Austin Barnes (toe) as the team's backup catcher after Barnes was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday. Feduccia has produced a .282 average with six home runs, 46 RBI, 38 runs scored and two stolen bases over 252 at-bats in 73 games with Triple-A Oklahoma City this season.

Dodgers' Austin Barnes: Expected to miss minimum time
Barnes (toe) is expected to miss the minimum 10 days while on the injured list, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Barnes is dealing with an injured big toe on his left foot, but he'll be able to avoid a prolonged stint on the IL. The catcher will be replaced by Hunter Feduccia as the primary backup option behind Will Smith behind the plate.

Dodgers' Hunter Feduccia: Will be recalled Monday
The Dodgers are expected to recall Feduccia from Triple-A Oklahoma City prior to Monday's contest against the Mariners, J.P. Hoornstra of DodgersNation.com reports.
He'll replace Austin Barnes, who is headed to the 10-day injured list. Feduccia, 27, had one plate appearance with the Dodgers earlier this season and has posted an .848 OPS with six homers this year at Oklahoma City. He will serve as Will Smith's backup.

Dodgers' Austin Barnes: Expected to go on IL
Barnes is expected to be placed on the 10-day injured list prior to Monday's game versus the Mariners, J.P. Hoornstra of DodgersNation.com reports.
Per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports, Barnes took a foul ball off his left big toe during Sunday's win over the Cardinals. It's uncertain whether he's dealing with a fracture or is just sore. Barnes will be eligible to come off the IL at the end of August but it's not clear if he might be ready at that time. Hunter Feduccia will be called up to serve as the Dodgers' backup catcher behind Will Smith.

Nationals' Keibert Ruiz: Belts 12th homer
Ruiz went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Sunday's win over the Phillies.
The catcher got the Nationals on the board in the fourth inning by driving a Taijuan Walker pitch deep to right field. Ruiz is putting together a strong month of August, slashing .283/.321/.547 through 14 games with four of his 12 homers on the season, as well as eight runs and nine RBI.

Diamondbacks' Adrian Del Castillo: Belts second homer since call-up
Del Castillo went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run Sunday against the Rays.
Del Castillo's second homer of the season was a clutch three-run shot that tied the game in the ninth, sending it into extras. The catcher was 0-for-4 going into that at-bat, rendering him in a 1-for-16 slump prior to the blast. Del Castillo began his big-league career on fire, going 7-for-12 with three extra-base hits and five RBI. With 24 homers in the minors prior to his call up, Del Castillo has the potential to provide intriguing pop from the catcher position while Gabriel Moreno remains sidelined for the Diamondbacks.

Pirates' Joey Bart: Remains hot in heart of order
Bart went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Sunday against the Mariners.
Bart belted a sixth-inning George Kirby fastball 430 feet to right-center to put the Pirates on the board. It was the 12th homer of the year for Bart, who has earned his way into the heart of the order for the Pirates. Over his last 19 games, Bart is batting 24-for-72 (.338) with six homers, 16 RBI and 15 runs while collecting multiple hits in seven of those contests. Bart, who's currently the Pirates' primary catcher, has begun to earn additional time at DH and with Andrew McCutchen currently on the shelf. Expect Bart to remain a fixture in the lineup even when he's not starting behind the dish.

Dodgers' Will Smith: Receiving break Sunday
Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Smith started the previous three contests but will sit for Sunday's day game. Austin Barnes will step in behind the plate to catch for lefty Clayton Kershaw.

Alvarez went 1-for-7 with a walk, a run and two strikeouts in the first two games of the series and will take a seat Sunday. Luis Torrens will step in behind the plate to catch for Paul Blackburn in the series finale.
