Patrick Bailey C | SF
Giants' Patrick Bailey: Delivers winning homer
Bailey went 2-for-4 with a three-run inside-the-park home run in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Phillies.
Bailey's blast was a clutch one, as he homered in the ninth inning. The deep fly ball bounced off the bricks in right field and caromed away from the fielders -- while officially a walk-off, Bailey had to hustle around the bases, making it more of a run-off in practice. It's just the second homer of the year for Bailey, who hadn't posted a multi-hit effort since June 18 versus the Guardians. The catcher is still batting just .194 with a .553 OPS, 26 RBI, 22 runs scored, 11 doubles and two triples over 72 contests this season.

J.T. Realmuto C | PHI
Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Resting Tuesday
Realmuto isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
After going 1-for-4 win Monday's series opener, Realmuto will step out of the starting nine Tuesday. Rafael Marchan will fill in as Philadelphia's catcher and bat eighth.

Joey Bart C | PIT
Pirates' Joey Bart: Sitting third straight
Bart isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Royals.
Tuesday will mark the third consecutive game Bart has begun on the bench, and the fifth time he has done so in Pittsburgh's last seven contests. His dramatic drop in playing time suggests that Henry Davis, who will be behind the dish Tuesday, is now the Pirates' preferred option to start at catcher.

Martin Maldonado C | SD
Padres' Martin Maldonado: Idle Tuesday
Maldonado is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Maldonado will get some rest after appearing in the last five games since the second game of a doubleheader July 2. In that five-game stretch, he went 2-for-11 with a walk. For Tuesday's game, Elias Diaz has the start behind the dish and is batting ninth.

Keibert Ruiz C | WAS
Nationals' Keibert Ruiz: Back on concussion IL
The Nationals placed Ruiz on the 7-day concussion injured list Tuesday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Ruiz originally landed on the concussion IL on June 27 after being hit by a foul ball while in the dugout. He was activated Friday, but renewed symptoms will force him to remain on the injured list through the All-Star break. Riley Adams will take over as the Nationals' backstop for now, and Drew Millas will come up from Triple-A Rochester to provide some depth behind the plate.

James McCann C | ARI
Diamondbacks' James McCann: Guides Gallen through gem
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said prior to Monday's 6-3 win over the Padres that he would continue to have McCann catch for right-hander Zac Gallen if the battery continues to achieve positive results, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Given that Gallen allowed one unearned run on five hits and one walk while striking out nine over six innings Monday, McCann looks like a good bet to remain in the lineup in Gallen's next turn through the rotation. Prior to the Diamondbacks signing McCann on June 23, Gallen endured a nine-start stretch during which he posted a 6.97 ERA and 1.59 WHIP with 21 walks through 51.2 innings. In the two subsequent outings with McCann behind the dish, the right-hander has gone 2-0 with a 0.69 ERA, a 0.85 WHIP, 19 strikeouts and one walk over 13 innings. The catcher has also produced at the plate, going 6-for-18 with two doubles, one home run, three RBI and five runs over six starts behind the dish.

Adrian Del Castillo C | ARI
Diamondbacks' Adrian Del Castillo: Activated from MiLB IL
Del Castillo (back) is 5-for-17 with three walks and two runs scored in four games with Triple-A Reno since being activated from the 7-day injured list Tuesday.
Del Castillo landed on the 7-day injured list June 20 due to lower back discomfort but was only shut down for one week before gaining clearance to embark on a rehab assignment. He's batting .294 with two home runs, eight RBI and 10 runs through nine appearances this season for the Aces.

Drew Millas C | WAS
Nationals' Drew Millas: Returning to big leagues
Millas is expected to be called up from Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.
Millas is set to join the Nationals in St. Louis ahead of the team's three-game set with the Cardinals beginning Tuesday. The catcher was sent down to Triple-A on Friday, but he'll make a quick return to the big-league roster. It's unclear who will be displaced from Washington's roster in a corresponding move.

Jose Herrera C | TEX
Diamondbacks' Jose Herrera: Idle Monday
Herrera is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres.
Herrera and James McCann have now made four starts apiece behind the plate over the Diamondbacks' last eight games, but the playing time could eventually tilt in the latter catcher's favor. Since he signed with Arizona on June 23, McCann has posted a 1.259 OPS over five games, while Herrera has slashed just .176/.300/.176 over that same period.
