Goodman went 1-for-3 with a home run, a walk, two RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 9-7 extra-inning loss to the Brewers.

For the second time this season, Goodman tallied a home run and a stolen base in the same contest. The 26-year-old has hit five homers over his past nine games and has now swiped a bag in consecutive contests for the first time in his career. For the year, he's slashing .245/.316/.514 with 16 long balls, 29 RBI, 38 runs scored and a career-high five steals across 244 plate appearances.

Rutschman went 4-for-4 with a walk, two doubles, a home run and five RBI during the Orioles' 13-3 win over the Blue Jays on Friday.

Rutschman got the Orioles on the board early with a solo home run off Trey Yesavage in the first inning. Rutschman kept his foot on the gas, tying things up at 3-3 in the sixth inning with a two-run double before adding another two runs on a double to center field in the ninth. His four hits were a season high, and his five RBI were his most in a game since April 24 against the Red Sox (six). Rutschman is slashing .273/.352/.506 with eight home runs and 36 RBI over 196 plate appearances this season.

Valenzuela went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Friday's 13-3 loss to the Orioles.

Valanzuela handed the Blue Jays a 3-1 lead after taking Brandon Young deep to right-center field for a 417-foot, two-run home run. Valanzuela has gone deep in back-to-back games and is up to six homers on the season. He has stepped up as the Blue Jays' primary catcher ahead of Tyler Heineman, but Valenzuela could soon see his workload drop dramatically, as Alejandro Kirk (thumb) is trending toward returning from the 60-day IL early next week, per Mitch Bannon of The Athletic.

The Yankees will recall Sanchez from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

The Yankees sent J.C. Escarra down to Triple-A shortly after Friday's game, so Sanchez will join the active roster to take over as New York's backup catcher. The 29-year-old owns just a .454 OPS across 133 plate appearances in his big-league career but has slashed .227/.327/.375 with six homers, 11 RBI and 18 runs in 40 games at Triple-A this year.

The Yankees optioned Escarra to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after Friday's loss to the Red Sox.

Escarra has slashed just .177/.235/.258 across 68 plate appearances while operating as the Yankees' backup catcher. No longer satisfied with his performance, the team will send the 31-year-old down to Triple-A to right the ship and promote Ali Sanchez to take Escarra's spot on the bench.

Basallo was removed from Friday's game against Toronto with right abdominal discomfort, Andy Kostka of TheBanner.com reports.

Basallo went 0-for-2 at the plate before exiting the game in the sixth inning. It's unknown whether his injury will force him to miss additional starts, though the Orioles could provide some clarity after the game.

The Angels signed Porter to a minor-league contract Friday, Ari Alexander of 7 News Boston reports.

Porter was designated for assignment by the Giants on Monday. He elected free agency after being outrighted to Triple-A Sacramento, and he'll get a new opportunity with the Angels and report to Triple-A Salt Lake. Porter has spent the entire 2026 season in the minors, where he is slashing .241/.292/.362 with 10 RBI and four extra-base hits across 65 plate appearances.

Millas (lip) will start at catcher and bat eighth Friday against the Diamondbacks, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Millas left Tuesday's contest with an upper lip laceration but will return to the starting nine Friday to fill in for Keibert Ruiz as Washington's backstop. Millas hasn't found much success as a hitter this season, slashing just .181/.252/.277 across 105 plate appearances.

Ruiz isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against Arizona, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Ruiz will take a seat after going 1-for-7 with an RBI and two runs scored during Washington's series against Miami. Drew Millas will fill in behind the plate and bat eighth.

Moreno isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the Nationals, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Moreno will get a chance to rest his legs after going 2-for-13 with three walks and two runs scored while playing in all four games of Arizona's last series against the Dodgers. Aramis Garcia will handle catching duties Friday while batting eighth.
