Kirk is not starting Tuesday's game against Cleveland.

Kirk went 1-for-4 with a double and three strikeouts Monday. In six games since rejoining the Blue Jays, he's gone 6-for-19 with two doubles, one walk and no RBI. Reese McGuire will catch and bat ninth Tuesday.

The Yankees traded Deglan to the Blue Jays on Tuesday, Mitch Bannon of SI.com reports. It's unclear what New York received in the deal.

The 29-year-old catcher hit .233/.281/.367 with a home run and three RBI in 12 games with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season. With the Blue Jays, Deglan is unlikely to be viewed as anything more than organizational depth at his position.

Heim is not starting Tuesday's game against the Angels.

Heim followed his back-to-back games of heroics with an 0-for-4 effort Monday and is now hitting .184 in his last 10 games. Jose Trevino will start behind the dish and bat ninth Tuesday.

Adams was recalled from Triple-A Rochester prior to Tuesday's game against the Phillies, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.

Adams was acquired from the Blue Jays in the trade that sent Brad Hand to Toronto last week. After hitting an ugly .107 across his first 30 major-league plate appearances, Adams will look to get off to a better start with Washington. Per Matt Weyrich of NBC Sports Washington, the rookie is expected to split time with Tres Barrera behind the plate going forward.

Haase earned American League Rookie of the Month honors for July after slashing .265/.319/.627 in the month with nine home runs and 29 RBI.

Haase exploded onto the scene in July by hitting half of his season total of 18 home runs and recording more than half of his 46 RBI. The 28-year-old has surprisingly emerged as an everyday player for the Tigers after beginning the year lower on the depth chart, and his grip on playing time got stronger when Jake Rogers (forearm) hit the injured list on July 19. Haase should remain entrenched in Detroit's lineup, and while he likely won't keep up July's productivity the rest of the season, he should still maintain fantasy relevance in his current role.

Thaiss was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

The 26-year-old was promoted from Salt Lake last week and will return there after appearing in only two games for the Angels. He was expected to help fill in at first base with Jared Walsh (chest) on the injured list, but Thaiss will instead make a quick return to the minors. Phil Gosselin should continue to dominate the work at first base until Walsh is healthy.

Realmuto went 5-for-6 with two doubles, four RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Pirates.

Realmuto made his presence felt early in the game with an RBI single in the first, scoring Travis Jankowski, and he later added an RBI double in the fifth that scored Bryce Harper. The star catcher wasn't done for the day, though, and he chipped in with a two-run single in the eighth as well. This was one of the most complete individual performances in the entire season and it boosted Realmuto's average to a solid .278 mark since the beginning of July. He continues to be one of the most productive backstops in the entire league.

Perez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Blue Jays.

Since returning from the 60-day injured list July 3, Perez has settled into a near-equal timeshare with Austin Hedges after previously serving as Cleveland's clear No. 1 catcher. In Cleveland's last 24 games with both backstops active, Perez has picked up 13 starts, while Hedges will be behind the plate Monday for the 11th time during that stretch. Expect the starts between the two catchers to remain relatively equitable the rest of the way.

Heim went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-3 win over Seattle.

What a series for the 26-year-old Heim, who homered in three consecutive games against the Mariners and went 5-for-12 with four long balls and six RBI. That, however, takes a back seat to the theatrics provided. Sunday's solo shot in the ninth inning was the second walk-off blast in two days.

Gomes went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Angels.

Gomes made his Athletics debut Sunday, homering in his second at-bat for his new team. In addition, he knocked in Jed Lowrie on a single in the fifth frame. The catcher is slashing .274/.325/.791 with 10 long balls, 38 RBI and 31 runs scored in 230 plate appearances. He has been hot on offense, batting .435 with two homers and eight RBI over his last seven games.
