Trevino (forearm) could be back with the Rangers by July 24 or 25.

Trevino is in "fine" health according to manager Chris Woodward, who wants the injured catcher to build up at-bats while rehabbing at Double-A Frisco. He has appeared in three games for the RoughRiders and has three hits (two doubles), a walk, an RBI and two runs over 11 plate appearances. Jonah Heim is the primary catcher for Texas while Trevino is unavailable.

Vazquez won't play Monday against the Blue Jays after he took a foul tip off his right knee in Sunday's 9-1 loss to the Yankees, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Vazquez felt stiff and sore after Sunday's contest, so he doesn't expect to be in the lineup in Monday's series opener. However, the backstop is hopeful that he'll be able to return to action Tuesday after a day off. Kevin Plawecki could take over behind the dish Monday.

Smith went 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, a walk and a stolen base Sunday against the Rockies.

Smith blasted his 11th homer of the year in the eighth inning, a two-run shot off Carlos Estevez that gave the Dodgers a 4-3 lead. Smith, who also stole his second base of the year, added a pair of singles and a walk and has reached base seven times (five hits, two walks) in his last two contests. The 26-year-old catcher is slashing .265/.368/.466 in 285 plate appearances on the year.

Jansen went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a 5-0 win over Texas in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Jansen took Texas starter Kolby Allard deep in the fifth inning. The 26-year-old catcher has homered in each of his last two starts behind the dish, but he has only five long balls to go with 10 RBI, 16 runs scored and a disappointing .172/.257/.328 slash line through 137 plate appearances.

Hedges is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

After an extended run as Cleveland's No. 1 catcher, Hedges has transitioned back to the No. 2 role following Roberto Perez's return from the 60-day injured list July 3. Hedges will likely be limited to between one and three starts per week when Perez is healthy.

Murphy will start at catcher and bat sixth Sunday against the Angels.

Though he'll join the lineup for the series finale, Murphy appears to be behind Cal Raleigh in the pecking order for reps at catcher and behind Luis Torrens at designated hitter. Murphy, who owns an underwhelming .638 OPS on the season, is starting for only the second time in six games.

Raleigh is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

Raleigh had started behind the plate in each of the Mariners' last three games, going hitless with four strikeouts across 12 at-bats. Though he's still looking for his first big-league hit, Raleigh appears set to work ahead of both Luis Torrens and Tom Murphy. The Mariners will hand Murphy a start at catcher Sunday in what likely amounts to a maintenance day for Raleigh.

Contreras is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

A 3-for-4 effort with a home run and two RBI on Saturday raised Contreras' average to .306 since the start of July. He's also drawn seven walks in that 10-game span. Robinson Chirinos will catch and bat eighth Sunday.

Casali is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Casali will cede catching duties to Chadwick Tromp in the series finale after he was behind the dish Friday and Saturday. With Buster Posey (thumb) considered day-to-day and likely to return from the injured list during the upcoming week, Casali's time as San Francisco's No. 1 catcher will soon come to an end.

Sanchez went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Saturday's rain-shortened win over the Red Sox.

With the game tied 1-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning, Sanchez went deep to right field to give the Yankees a narrow lead. The homer turned out to be the game-winner, as the contest was delayed due to heavy rain shortly thereafter and ultimately called after six frames. Sanchez is looking to turn things around amidst a difficult July during which he is batting .091 (3-for-33), though two of his three hits this month have left the yard.
