Stassi (concussion) has been throwing but has yet to be activated off the 7-day IL, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

A timeframe has yet to be given for Stassi's return, but he appears to be making progress from the concussion he suffered earlier in May. The backstop will likely resume his role as the team's primary catcher when he's ready to return.

Trevino is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Astros, Levi Weaver of The Athletic reports.

The catcher started Thursday and Friday and just appears to be receiving a regular day off. Trevino has hit well, going 5-for-16 in his last five games. Switch-hitter Jonah Heim will start at catcher as the Rangers go up against righty Luis Garcia.

Murphy is not in Saturday's lineup against the Twins.

Murphy has started each of the team's last five games and will take a seat on the bench with a day game following a night game. Aramis Garcia will take over behind the dish and hit ninth.

Contreras will sit Saturday against the Tigers.

Contreras has handled one of the heaviest workloads among all catchers this season, but even he can't start every game behind the plate. He'll get a rest after starting seven straight contests, with Tony Wolters taking over in his absence.

Rogers is not in Saturday's lineup against the Cubs.

Rogers drew the start behind the dish Friday night and delivered a solo home run. However, he'll give way to Eric Haase, who is hitting seventh while starting behind the plate Saturday.

Collins went a combined 2-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored while playing in both ends of Friday's doubleheader against the Royals.

Collins entered the first game after Yasmani Grandal moved to first base for an injured Jose Abreu (face), then as scheduled caught all seven innings in the nightcap. The young catcher has made better contact of late, going 7-for-18 with four extra-base hits and five runs scored over the last eight games.

Gomes went 5-for-6 with a triple, a double, four runs and two RBI in Friday's 17-2 blowout victory over the Diamondbacks.

The backstop enjoyed the first five-hit game of his career in the rout while also scoring a career-high four runs. He fell a home run short of the cycle and collected just the eighth triple in his 10 seasons as a major-leaguer. With the huge effort, Gomes' batting average jumped 45 points to .288.

Rogers went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Cubs.

He went back-to-back with Robbie Grossman in the sixth inning to spoil the Cubs' shutout bid. It was Rogers' first homer of the year, and the 26-year-old could provide some short-term fantasy value while Wilson Ramos (back) and Grayson Greiner (hamstring) remain sidelined.

Maldonado went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and a walk in Friday's 10-4 win over the Rangers.

Maldonado drew a bases-loaded walk in the third inning to push Houston's lead to 6-1. He then blew it up even further with a two-run blast in the fifth. It was his second homer of the season and both have come over the last seven games.

Perez went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the White Sox.

After DHing in the matinee and taking Lucas Giolito deep in the third inning, Perez was behind the plate for the nightcap but went 0-for-3. The veteran catcher is slashing .280/.312/.500 through 38 games with eight homers and 23 RBI.
