Sanchez (groin) will travel to New York for further testing after leaving Game 2 of Thursday's game against Detroit with left groin tightness, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Sanchez figures to be unavailable for Friday's game in Toronto, and he may require a trip to the injured list after suffering another groin injury. Austin Romine and Kyle Higashioka will handle the catching duties if Sanchez is forced to miss significant time.

Stallings went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's victory over the Giants.

It's not yet clear what forced his removal. Sanchez, who was 0-for-1 with a walk before exiting, was replaced by Kyle Higashioka.

Smith is not in the lineup Thursday against the Orioles, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Smith will sit after starting the past two games and going 1-for-7 with a walk and two strikeouts. Russell Martin is starting at catcher and hitting ninth in his stead in this one.

D'Arnaud is not starting Thursday against the Rangers, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports.

D'Arnaud will give way to Mike Zunino behind the dish for Thursday's series finale. In eight appearances this month, the backstop is 4-for-23 (.174) with two doubles, a home run and seven RBI.

Vazquez is not in the lineup Thursday against the Blue Jays, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.

Vazquez will head to the bench for Thursday's series finale in Toronto after starting the past three games and going 2-for-10 with a pair of strikeouts and a stolen base. In his place, Juan Centeno is starting behind the dish and hitting ninth against righty Clay Buchholz.

Murphy went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the Astros on Wednesday.

Murphy connected for his fourth major-league homer in the sixth inning to erase a 2-1 deficit. The rookie backstop has impressively left the yard in three of his last nine at-bats across the last two games, quickly corroborating the power profile he flashed at Triple-A Las Vegas this season wasn't just a byproduct of the Pacific Coast League's hitter-friendly conditions.

Hedges is not in Thursday's lineup against the Cubs.

He is hitting .071 with zero home runs in 28 at-bats this month. Austin Allen is starting behind the dish and hitting seventh.

Nola went 1-for-2 with an RBI single, a walk and two runs in a win over the Reds on Wednesday.
