Wells is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Guardians.

It's a routine day off for Wells, who started the previous three contests and five of the last six games. J.C. Escarra will be behind the dish and bat eighth for the Yankees.

Narvaez is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Angels.

Connor Wong has taken a back seat to Narvaez at catcher for the Red Sox, but this will be Narvaez's second time beginning on the bench over the last three games. He enters play Tuesday with a .809 OPS to Wong's .375 mark.

Pages is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Royals.

Pages has been receiving the lion's share of starts at catcher lately while Ivan Herrera slots in at designated hitter, but it will be Herrera behind the dish for Tuesday's series opener. Nolan Gorman is at DH for the Cardinals.

Tromp elected to become a free agent Tuesday, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

He passed through waivers after being removed from the Orioles' 40-man roster, but Tromp has decided to look for a gig elsewhere rather than accept an outright assignment. The 30-year-old shouldn't have an issue finding another organization in need of catching depth.

Hicks made his season debut at first base Sunday, and Marlins manager Clayton McCullough hinted that he's likely to see more action at the position, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports. ""It was good that he got his feet wet, and his comfort level will continue [to increase] if he gets more opportunities over there," McCullough said after the contest.

Hicks has experience at first base in the minors, playing 61 games at the position last year at Double-A, and with Matt Mervis removed from the 26-man roster, Miami has a lot of available at-bats there. Hicks' bat is what's forcing the team to find ways to get him into the lineup -- including a 2-for-4 performance as the DH on Monday against the Rockies, he's slashing .316/.381/.658 over 42 plate appearances since the beginning of May with six of his 12 hits going for extra bases (two doubles, a triple and three homers). Agustin Ramirez and Nick Fortes may wind up seeing the bulk of the playing time behind the plate, but Hicks should still get plenty of work against right-handed pitching between catcher, first base and designated hitter.

Goodman went 3-for-5 with two home runs, three RBI and three runs scored during Monday's 6-4 win over the Marlins.

Goodman broke out of a three-game hit drought in a big way, taking Marlins starter Max Meyer deep twice Monday, including a big-time blast in the fifth that turned the game upside down, to power the Rockies to a victory. Up to nine home runs on the season, the 25-year-old continues to be an impact bat from the catching position, with a .780 OPS that ranks fourth in MLB among qualified catchers.

Dingler went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's 13-1 win over the White Sox.

Dingler was one of three Detroit players to go deep, including Kerry Carpenter, who crushed three long balls. That effort overshadowed Dingler, but the catcher has been quietly productive all year as he's taken hold of the starting job for the Tigers. The 26-year-old now has six long balls and a .794 OPS this season, compared to no home runs and a paltry .410 OPS for backup catcher Jake Rogers.

The Orioles outrighted Tromp to Triple-A Norfolk on Monday, per MLB's transactions log.

Tromp was cast off the 40-man roster Saturday and will report to Triple-A after failing to draw interest while on the waiver wire. He's batting .254 with three home runs, 10 RBI and nine runs scored across 20 games with the Tides this season.

Rodriguez was placed on the full-season injured list Monday due to an undisclosed injury, per MiLB transactions log.

Rodriguez was placed on the 7-day injured list May 20 before being transferred to the full-season IL on Monday. The nature of his injury remains unclear at this time. Rodriguez was batting .359 with two home runs, 19 RBI and eight runs scored over 21 appearances at Double-A Biloxi prior to suffering the injury.

Smith it not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Mets.
