McCann went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's 10-8 loss to the Guardians.

McCann was able to generate a run in three of his four at-bats. He had an RBI single in the second inning, a solo shot in the fourth and an RBI groundout in the seventh. The veteran catcher is 7-for-33 (.212) over 10 games in June, and he continues to see sparse playing time as the backup to Adley Rutschman. For the year, McCann has a .202/.227/.325 slash line with three homers, 13 RBI, 15 runs scored, one stolen base and five doubles over 119 plate appearances.

Jeffers went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Jeffers' seventh-inning blast briefly tied the game at 4-4 before the Diamondbacks took the lead back a half-inning later. The catcher opened June in an 0-for-17 skid, but he's hit safely in seven of his last eight games, going 8-for-31 (.258) in that span. He's up to a .236/.323/.482 slash line with 13 home runs, 41 RBI, 30 runs scored and two stolen bases over 255 plate appearances.

Rortvedt went 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI in Tuesday's 11-3 win over the Mariners.

Rortvedt walked in the fifth inning, hit a two-run home run in the sixth and added a two-run single in the seventh. The catcher has enjoyed a great June, hitting .333 with three home runs and 14 RBI over 49 plate appearances. The 26-year-old only has 19 plate appearances against left-handed pitching this season, but he is slashing a solid .282/.369/.405 with three homers and 21 RBI in 149 plate appearances against righties.

Naylor went 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored in a 10-8 win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

Naylor was active early, doubling and scoring in the second inning and then singling and scoring the third. He hit an RBI triple and came around to score again in the eighth. Naylor finished a home run shy of a cycle in his first three-hit effort of the season. Over his past five games, Naylor has gone 8-for-18 with six extra-base hits, five RBI and six runs scored. On the season, the young catcher is hitting .202 with four home runs, 17 RBI and 22 runs scored over 168 at-bats.

Moreno (thumb) will catch Zac Gallen's (hamstring) bullpen session Thursday, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

A sprained left thumb forced Moreno onto the injured list Saturday, and Wednesday's bullpen session will allow him to get a feel for how his thumb feels in his glove after a few days of recovery. Assuming all goes well, there is a strong possibility that the 24-year-old backstop will be able to return from the injured list when eligible next Tuesday.

Davis (concussion) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Altoona on Wednesday, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Davis has been on the 7-day concussion IL since June 15, and Wednesday will be the first time he's played in any sort of game since then. The Pirates haven't indicated how long the 24-year-old's assignment might last, though it's possible he remains in the minors upon being activated after slashing just .153/.267/.235 across 101 major-league plate appearances this season.

Herrera (back) will play catch Tuesday and is hoping to hit off a tee and take flips Wednesday, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Herrera is eligible for activation Saturday but could need a rehab assignment before returning. He could make it back by early July if all goes well. It wouldn't seem to be a given that Herrera rejoins the big-league roster at that point, however, since Willson Contreras is back from the injured list and Pedro Pages had been playing over Herrera prior to the latter's injury.

Murphy is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cardinals.

After catching back-to-back games, Murphy will yield to Travis d'Arnaud behind the plate Tuesday. Murphy owns a .618 OPS with a 27.4 percent strikeout rate across 73 plate appearances.

Kelly isn't part of the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Phillies.

Kelly will give way to Jake Rogers behind the dish for the fifth time in eight games. Kelly is batting 10-for-33 (.303) with two home runs in June.

Perez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-1 win over the Marlins.

Perez had gone 0-for-14 over his previous four games, and he'd gone seven contests without an extra-base hit. Both droughts ended when the catcher went back-to-back with Vinnie Pasquantino in the fourth inning, with Perez's homer serving as the decisive run. A poor June -- 11-for-57 (.157) over 20 games -- has taken some of the shine off of what was a strong start to the year for Perez. He's now slashing .280/.352/.462 with 12 homers, 46 RBI, 29 runs scored and 15 doubles through 77 contests.
