Stanton is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.

Stanton will get a chance to rest Wednesday after going 1-for-8 with three strikeouts through the first two games of the series. His absence open up the designated-hitter spot for Aaron Judge while allowing Trent Grisham to start in center field.

Fry is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.

Fry had started each of the last five games, going 3-for-17 with a home run. While he's in the midst of a lull at the plate to begin August, Fry will hit the bench Wednesday to make room for a hotter bat in Jhonkensy Noel, who will draw a third consecutive start after slugging three home runs between the first two contests versus the Cubs.

O'Hearn is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Nationals, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Southpaw DJ Herz will toe the slab for the Nationals, so the left-handed-hitting O'Hearn will grab a seat. Austin Slater will occupy left field and Eloy Jimenez will start at designated hitter for the Orioles.

Malloy is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Malloy has now sat out both contests since Kerry Carpenter was reinstated from the injured list Tuesday. Carpenter has served as the Tigers' designated hitter both times, so Malloy could see his playing time tick back up if Detroit elects to deploy Carpenter in right field more frequently down the road.

Calhoun went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-1 loss to the Blue Jays.

Calhoun's ninth-inning blast prevented the Angels from getting shut out. The 29-year-old's playing time has been down lately due to a stretch heavy with left-handed starters for the Angels' opponents. It looks like Calhoun is in a strict platoon role at this point of the season. Overall, he has a .248/.316/.385 slash line, five homers, 20 RBI, 26 runs scored, 16 doubles and no stolen bases over 67 contests.

Madris went 2-for-4 with a walk, two RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 15-1 win over the Mariners.

Madris was ostensibly seen as a depth piece when he was called up from Triple-A Toledo in late July, but he's forced his way into regular playing time. The 28-year-old is batting .304 with five RBI and eight runs scored in 18 games for the Tigers. Madris may not be in the team's long-term plans, but he should continue to see the field plenty in the short term.

Jimenez is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Nationals.

After starting four straight contests, Jimenez has now been in the lineup just two times over the subsequent five games. The 27-year-old is 12-for-24 at the plate to begin his Orioles career but is still contending with Ryan O'Hearn for starts at designated hitter.

Larnach is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Royals.

The 27-year-old will typically find himself on the bench against left-handed pitching, but he's sitting Tuesday even though righty Seth Lugo is starting for Kansas City. Larnach is hitting .276 through eight games in July but has an underwhelming .674 OPS since he has just one extra-base hit during that span.

Malloy is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mariners.

Malloy will hit the bench in Kerry Carpenter's first game back from the injured list, as Carpenter slots into the DH spot and Zach McKinstry, Parker Meadows and Matt Vierling fill the outfield. While Carpenter is expected to eventually play right field every day, the Tigers could ease him into action by frequently deploying him at DH, which would eat into Malloy's role.

Stanton went 1-for-2 with a walk and four RBI against the Rangers in an 8-7 victory Sunday.

Stanton kicked off the scoring with a first-inning sacrifice fly and added a three-run homer in the fifth. It was the second homer in as many games for the slugger after he failed to go deep across his first eight contests after returning from the injured list July 29. Stanton's homer Sunday was his 20th of the campaign, marking the 13th season in his career he's reached that total.
