Harold Ramirez DH | WAS
Rays' Harold Ramirez: Steal first bag of season
Ramirez went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a stolen base in Friday's 2-1 win over the Giants.
The 29-year-old provided the only offensive spark the Tampa pitching staff would need, reaching base and crossing the plate in the second and third innings. Ramirez's steal was his first of the season, and he's been spraying the ball around of late, producing five multi-hit performances in his last eight games -- although only one of his knocks during that stretch, a double, went for extra bases. On the season, he's slashing .294/.294/.314 with five RBI and seven runs in 12 contests.

Miguel Sano 3B | LAA
Angels' Miguel Sano: Out of Friday's lineup
Sano is not in the lineup for Friday's game at Boston, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.
Sano started three of the past four games but went 2-for-12 with a walk and seven strikeouts during that span. Brandon Drury will receive a turn as the Angels' designated hitter while Luis Rengifo starts at the keystone.

Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Ramping up running intensity
Jimenez (adductor) will ramp up his running intensity this week, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports.
It's good that Jimenez is upping his activity level, but it would appear he's not going to return this weekend as had been hoped. Jimenez has been sidelined for the past week with a left adductor strain. Gavin Sheets has held down designated hitter duties for the Pale Hose since Jimenez was injured.

Brent Rooker DH | ATH
Athletics' Brent Rooker: Heads to injured list
Rooker was placed on the 10-day injured list by the Athletics on Thursday with a costochondral cartilage injury.
Rooker had to depart Sunday's' game versus the Tigers with the injury and didn't make enough improvement in subsequent days to avoid the IL. He'll be eligible to return next week but it's not clear at this point whether he might be ready by then.

Gavin Sheets RF | SD
White Sox's Gavin Sheets: Has monster day in loss
Sheets went 3-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, five RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's loss to the Guardians. He also stole a base.
Sheets had himself a day at the plate Wednesday, driving home the first run of the game with a double in the top of the first before coming around to score himself, putting Chicago up 2-0. He then launched a three-run shot in the third and another RBI double in the 10th to put the White Sox up yet again, though his incredible effort would still fall short in the loss. It marked Sheets' first three-hit game of the season and his third multi-hit game in his last six contests. He's now batting .360 in April with two homers, seven RBI and four runs scored.

Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Could return during weekend series
Jimenez (thigh) is progressing in his recovery and could return during the White Sox's weekend series against the Reds, MLB.com reports.
Manager Pedro Grifol said that Jimenez is feeling better each day, but he declined to give a specific return date. As expected, the priority for the team is to avoid any setbacks or aggravation of the injury. Given the rash of injuries the White Sox have faced early on this season, as well as his own history of issues, the team may take a cautious approach with Jimenez.

Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Hits another home run
Stanton went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Marlins.
Stanton generated an extra-base hit for the fifth consecutive game, with Wednesday's coming via a solo homer off Bryan Hoeing in the sixth frame. Through 11 games, Stanton boasts a .605 slugging percentage.

Wyatt Langford OF | TEX
Rangers' Wyatt Langford: Gets first day off
Langford is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.
The prized rookie will take a seat for the first time this season, ending a streak of 11 consecutive starts to begin his big-league career. Travis Jankowski will enter the lineup at designated hitter in place of Langford, who is hitting .261 with zero home runs, zero steals, six RBI and four runs across his first 51 big-league plate appearances.

Brent Rooker DH | ATH
Athletics' Brent Rooker: Remains on bench Wednesday
Rooker (abdomen) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers.
Rooker will remain on the bench for the second game in a row since exiting Sunday's 7-1 win over Detroit with abdominal soreness. The Athletics continue to view Rooker as day-to-day, but a stint on the injured list could grow more likely if he isn't able to re-enter the lineup by the weekend.

Cooper Hummel LF | HOU
Astros' Cooper Hummel: Moves off 40-man roster
Houston designated Hummel for assignment Wednesday.
The move frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for right-hander Spencer Arrighetti, who is scheduled to start Wednesday's game in Kansas City. Hummel was claimed off waivers last week and now could be on the move again.
