White Sox manager Pedro Grifol told reporters that Jimenez (calf) is "somewhat available" for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers off the bench, and that he has a good chance to be in the starting lineup Wednesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

"We are looking for [Jimenez] to be in the lineup tomorrow," Grifol said Tuesday. Jimenez has been out of the lineup since leaving the second game of a doubleheader against the Yankees on Thursday with calf discomfort, but it sounds likely that the slugger will be back in the lineup for Chicago in the coming days even if he isn't able to play Tuesday or Wednesday.

Jimenez (calf) is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Dodgers.

Jimenez will miss a fourth consecutive contest Tuesday as he continues to nurse a sore left calf. The team initially expected him to miss 4-5 days after suffering the injury Thursday, so he should be expected back in the lineup in the near future barring any sort of setback. Gavin Sheets will draw another start in right field and bat eighth in the series opener with Los Angeles.

Miller (oblique) is beginning a rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Round Rock.

Miller is nearing the end of his recovery from the right oblique strain that sent him to the injured list June 3, retroactive to May 31. He could be an option again for the Rangers this coming weekend.

Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said Tuesday that Buxton (rib) will remain on the 10-day injured list for a couple more days, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Buxton was eligible to be activated from the IL ahead of Tuesday's series opener against the Brewers, but the Twins want him to do a bit more side work as he recovers from a left rib contusion. There has been a carousel at DH in his ongoing absence from Minnesota's lineup.

The Blue Jays placed Belt on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with left hamstring inflammation, Mitch Bannon of SI.com reports.

Belt participated in running drills ahead of Tuesday's game against Baltimore, but he apparently wasn't able to show the team he's well enough to avoid an IL stint. Belt will now be sidelined for the next 10 days at minimum, and Ernie Clement will return from Triple-A Buffalo to fill his roster spot.

Belt (hamstring) ran on the field at Camden Yards pregame Tuesday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Belt is attempting to show the Blue Jays his tight left hamstring is well enough that he doesn't need a stint on the injured list. Ernie Clement is with the Jays in Baltimore, per Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca, presumably as a potential roster replacement for Belt should he need one.

Ohtani went 2-for-4 with two home runs, a walk and four RBI in Monday's 9-6 win over the Rangers in 12 innings.

Ohtani came up big in the clutch late in Monday's series opener, with his seventh-inning solo blast tying the game at 5-5. He then gave the Angels the lead in the top of the 12th, sending a Cole Ragans offering to the opposite field for a two-run home run. The long ball was his eighth in the last 13 games and his 20th overall of the season, allowing him to overtake the Yankees' Aaron Judge for the MLB lead.

Ford will sit Monday against the Marlins.

Ford will take a seat as Seattle faces off with southpaw Jesus Luzardo on the mound. AJ Pollock will replace him at designated hitter and bat sixth in the series opener with Miami.

Solak was optioned to Triple-A Toledo on Monday.

Solak was claimed off waivers last Friday and recalled Saturday but didn't receive a plate appearance. He's clearing out to make room for the return of Matt Vierling from the injured list.

Ford went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a loss to the Angels on Sunday.

Ford left the yard for the second time in the series and this season with a 412-foot shot to right in the fifth inning. The 30-year-old has made six appearances at designated hitter since his June 2 season debut, but his Achilles heel since 2021 -- making consistent contact -- continues to plague him, as evidenced by his 31.6 percent strikeout rate over his first 19 plate appearances.
