Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD
Angels' Shohei Ohtani: Fans 12 in dominant outing
Ohtani (2-0) pitched seven scoreless innings with 12 strikeouts to record his second win Sunday against the Athletics. He allowed just one hit and issued a single walk.
Marcus Semien broke up a perfect game in the seventh inning and Jed Lowrie followed that up with a walk, but Ohtani was able to finish the frame before handing things over to the bullpen. It hasn't taken long for Ohtani to live up to the lofty offseason buzz he garnered. He's won both his starts with 18 strikeouts through just 13 innings while also hitting three home runs with seven RBI through just 18 at-bats. His ability to contribute in both pitching and hitting categories adds value unforeseen in past years, and fantasy owners who took the calculated risk on him should be thrilled with his impressive start to the season.

Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Continues struggles at dish
Stanton went 0-for-7 and struck out five times in Sunday's loss to the Orioles.
Sunday's hitless showing drove Stanton's batting average down to .167 for the year. The reigning National League MVP has struggled to make contact lately, as this was the second time this season that he struck out five times in a game. Over 48 plate appearances this season, Stanton has been fanned 20 times.

Brad Miller DH | SD
Rays' Brad Miller: Headed to DL
Miller was placed on the disabled list Sunday with a left groin strain.
The severity of Miller's injury is unclear at this point in time, so a potential time frame for his return should become available after the team further evaluates him. With Miller set to miss some time, C.J. Cron will be in line to see more time at first base.

Jorge Soler DH | LAA
Royals' Jorge Soler: Reaches base three times
Soler went 3-for-4 with a double in Sunday's loss to the Indians.
Prior to Sunday's game, Soler had failed to record a hit over four games this season. However, while he reached base three times, Soler couldn't manage to cross the plate and was caught stealing in his one attempt to swipe a base.

Brad Miller DH | SD
Rays' Brad Miller: Suffers groin injury Sunday
Miller injured his groin while running the bases Sunday against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
After Miller left Sunday's game, Joey Wendle entered to play second base while Daniel Robertson moved to first. It appears that Miller could need more than a day off to recover, as it was reported that the Rays may opt to place him on the disabled list. Additional information on Miller's status should be available soon. If Miller is unavailable to play, C.J. Cron would likely fill in at first base.

Mark Canha LF | TEX
Athletics' Mark Canha: Summoned from minors
The Athletics recalled Canha from Triple-A Nashville on Sunday.
Despite an impressive spring training, Canha lost out on a reserve outfield role to Jake Smolinski when camp ended. It didn't take long for Canha to earn another look from the big club, however, as he was called up to provide added depth in the outfield following Boog Powell's (knee) placement on the disabled list. While he remains with the Athletics, expect Canha to see most of his starts against left-handed pitching.

Brad Miller DH | SD
Rays' Brad Miller: Plates a pair in Saturday loss
Miller went 1-for-4 with a two-run double in the Rays' 10-3 loss Saturday to the Red Sox.
His first-inning two-bagger to deep center plated Denard Span and Carlos Gomez, opening the scoring on the afternoon. Miller is hitting an anemic .200 over his first 27 plate appearances, but he does have a modest three-game hitting streak and has hit safely in four of his last five games overall. The 28-year-old undeniably brings plenty of home-run upside to the table, but his sluggish start -- albeit over a small sample -- is somewhat of a disappointment, considering his .231 average this spring and career-low .201 figure last season.

Athletics' Mark Canha: Expected to be called up Sunday
Canha is expected to be called up from Triple-A Nashville once Boog Powell (knee) is officially placed on the disabled list, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Canha failed to make the Opening Day roster despite hitting a scorching .362 with four home runs and 10 RBI over 52 spring training plate appearances. However, it appears that the 29-year-old outfielder will be making his 2018 big-league debut in April regardless. Canha is 2-for-8 with a double and solo home run over his first two games with the Sounds.

Miguel Cabrera DH | DET
Tigers' Miguel Cabrera: Drives in three Saturday
Cabrera went 1-for-4 with a walk and three RBI in Saturday's 6-1 win over the White Sox.
He drove in the first three Tigers runs with a bases-loaded single in the third inning and a groundout in the fifth. After a disappointing 2017, Cabrera now has eight RBI through his first seven games this season, and his .308/.400/.538 slash line is right in line with his career standards.

J.D. Martinez DH | NYM
Red Sox's J.D. Martinez: Hits first Red Sox homer
Martinez went 1-for-2 with a home run, two runs and two RBI against the Rays on Saturday.
Martinez's first Red Sox home run was a seventh-inning solo shot off Chaz Roe. He also drove in a run on a first-inning sacrifice fly. His opening six games had been something of a disappointment, as he was slashing just .240/.296/.360. It's still early, though, so the slugger has plenty of time to get on a roll.
