Nick Martini LF | CIN
Reds' Nick Martini: Hitting bench in Candelario's return
Martini is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
Martini had started in each of the past four games, but his uptick in playing time appears to be linked to Jeimer Candelario (hamstring) missing each of those contests. With Candelario back in the lineup Sunday as the Reds' designated hitter, Martini's opportunities are likely to take a hit moving forward.

Jorge Soler RF | LAA
Giants' Jorge Soler: Two doubles in loss
Soler went 2-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's extra-innings loss to the Dodgers.
Soler doubled in his first at-bat before coming around to score the Giants' first run of the game on a sac fly from Heliot Ramos. Soler is now batting .275 this month -- a far cry from his .164 average in May -- with three homers, eight doubles, 14 RBI and 10 runs scored.

Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Slugs 26th homer in win
Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored while also drawing two walks in Saturday's extra-innings win over the Giants.
Ohtani took Spencer Howard deep in the top of the third to give the Dodgers a 2-1 lead and later came around to score for a second time in the 11th after drawing a leadoff walk. The slugger is now up to 12 homers in the month of June, with nine of them coming over his last 12 games. Joc Pederson DH | TEX
Diamondbacks' Joc Pederson: Not starting versus lefty
Pederson isn't in Arizona's lineup Saturday against the Athletics.
Pederson will sit down for the second game in a row with the Diamondbacks matching up against a left-handed starter (Hogan Harris) again Saturday. Ketel Marte will fill in as Arizona's designated hitter, allowing Blaze Alexander to start at the keystone while batting second.
-
David Peralta LF | SD
Padres' David Peralta: Sitting again Saturday
Peralta isn't in the Padres' lineup for Saturday's game against the Red Sox.
Saturday marks the fifth consecutive absence for Peralta, and the second time he's sat against a right-handed starter (Tanner Houck) in that span. Bryce Johnson will start in right field for the fifth game in a row while batting ninth. He appears to have overtaken Peralta for a spot in the Padres' everyday lineup against right-handed pitching.

Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Returns from IL
The Rockies reinstated Blackmon (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Saturday.

The 37-year-old outfielder had been heating up at the plate prior to getting injured, slashing .333/.397/.509 across 63 plate appearances since the beginning of June. Sean Bouchard (back) was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move.
