Brad Miller DH | SD
Phillies' Brad Miller: Returns to bench role
Miller is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.
Before heading to the bench for Tuesday's 5-4 win, Miller had started four consecutive games and went 2-for-17 over that span. He's expected to fill a regular bench role for the Phillies now that Rhys Hoskins has seemingly moved past a groin injury.

Joc Pederson DH | TEX
Braves' Joc Pederson: On bench against southpaw
Pederson isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.
Even though Pederson went 2-for-4 with an RBI against left-hander Jon Lester on Tuesday, he'll retreat to the bench with southpaw J.A. Happ taking the mound Wednesday. Guillermo Heredia will start in center field and bat seventh.

Jesse Winker DH | NYM
Reds' Jesse Winker: Racking up doubles
Winker went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and an RBI in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Twins.
Winker has come out of the All-Star break on a tear, hitting .319 with a whopping 11 doubles through 17 games. He's now up to 28 doubles on the season, placing him in a tie for fifth place among all players. Though Minnesota is bringing lefty Charlie Barnes to the hill for the series finale Wednesday, the lefty-hitting Winker will stick in the lineup, manning left field and batting second.

Jorge Soler DH | LAA
Braves' Jorge Soler: Hits first homer for Atlanta
Soler went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 6-1 victory versus the Cardinals on Tuesday.
The veteran outfielder helped Atlanta get off to a fast start, drilling a two-run homer in his first at-bat to catalyze a five-run first inning. Soler has notched at least one hit in each of his first three games since being acquired by Atlanta at the trade deadline. He has gone 5-for-11 with three RBI and two runs since joining Atlanta.

Bryce Harper DH | PHI
Phillies' Bryce Harper: Launches 17th long ball
Harper went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Tuesday's win against the Nationals.
Harper took Javy Guerra deep in the eighth inning. Despite dealing with back spasms last week, the 28-year-old has now hit safely in nine of his last 10 contests. On the season, he's batting .301/.414/.553 with 17 long balls and 25 doubles.

Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT
Braves' Marcell Ozuna: Facing two misdemeanor charges
The Fulton County (Ga.) District Attorney's office dropped a felony charge of aggravated assault strangulation against Ozuna (fingers), but the outfielder will be prosecuted on misdemeanor charges of family battery violence and simple assault in connection with his May 29 arrest, Alexis Stevens and Gabriel Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
The two misdemeanor charges both carry up to a year of jail time. Major League Baseball continues to hold its own investigation into the incident and has the ability to discipline Ozuna regardless of how the legal process plays out, per the terms of the MLB-MLBPA Joint Domestic Violence Policy. Prior to his arrest, Ozuna was placed on the 10-day injured list May 26 after he was diagnosed with two broken fingers on his left hand. He should be at or near full health nearly two months later, but expect Ozuna to remain inactive for Atlanta until the legal matter is resolved.

Alex Dickerson DH | ATL
Giants' Alex Dickerson: Hits grand slam, triple in win
Dickerson went 2-for-5 with a grand slam and a triple in Monday's 11-8 extra-inning win over Arizona.
The veteran outfielder entered Monday on an 0-for-15 skid, but he broke the slump in a big way with his fifth-inning grand slam. Dickerson now has a career-high 11 homers to go with 32 RBI, 25 runs scored and a stolen base through 232 plate appearances. His slash line sits at .222/.289/.425, which has led to him losing at-bats against right-handed pitching, although he got into the lineup Monday with LaMonte Wade nursing a back injury.

Andrew McCutchen DH | TEX
Phillies' Andrew McCutchen: Lands on injured list
McCutchen was placed on the 10-day injured list with left knee inflammation Monday, retroactive to Aug. 1, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
McCutchen was slated to miss a second straight game Monday, but he'll land on the IL after he underwent an MRI on Sunday. The Phillies haven't said whether the outfielder will require more than 10 days on the shelf, but Brad Miller and Luke Williams could see increased playing time in his absence.

Darin Ruf DH | MIL
Giants' Darin Ruf: Fills stat sheet in win
Ruf went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's 5-3 win over Houston.
The 35-year-old put San Francisco ahead with an RBI single in the third inning, then added insurance with a two-run blast in the fifth. Ruf has hit safely in seven straight games, going 10-for-28 (.357) in that span. He's homered in back-to-back contests, giving him 12 on the year. He's added 29 RBI, 32 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases, although he's not much of a speed threat. Ruf is likely to remain in a near-everyday role at first base until Brandon Belt (knee) can return, which is expected within a week to 10 days.

Justin Turner DH | CHC
Dodgers' Justin Turner: Plates four Sunday
Turner went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, an additional run and RBI and a strikeout in a 13-0 triumph over the Diamondbacks on Sunday.
Turner singled and scored in the second as part of a five-run inning and launched a home run off Arizona reliever Ryan Buchter in the seventh. The veteran third baseman started August with his second four-RBI game of the season -- both against Arizona -- after concluding July with a .326/.402/.584 slash line.
