Brandon Belt DH | TOR
Giants' Brandon Belt: Snaps funk with homer
Belt went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 9-3 win over the Mariners.
Belt extended the Giants' lead to 4-0 with his homer off Ljay Newsome in the third inning. The homer ended a 0-for-12 skid for Belt, who now has eight round-trippers on the year. The first baseman has added 24 RBI, 20 runs scored and a .305/.401/.602 slash line in 40 games.

Byron Buxton CF | MIN
Twins' Byron Buxton: Reaches double-digit homers
Buxton went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the White Sox.
Buxton went deep off White Sox starter Lucas Giolito in the fourth inning. The 26-year-old Buxton has surged lately with five homers, eight RBI and six runs scored in his last eight games. He's up to 10 long balls, 22 RBI, 16 runs scored and a stolen base through 33 contests in 2020.

Brad Miller DH | SD
Cardinals' Brad Miller: Launches seventh long ball
Miller went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and double during the win over Milwaukee in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader.
Miller's seventh homer of the season extended the St. Louis lead to 4-2 in the sixth. He also tallied a double to give him his first multi-hit game since Sept. 2. Though the veteran utility man has gone just 8-for-43 across his last 14 games, he still holds a solid .273/.396/.536 slash line on the campaign.

Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD
Angels' Shohei Ohtani: Sits against southpaw
Ohtani isn't in Wednesday's lineup against the Diamondbacks.
With left-hander Caleb Smith taking the mound for Arizona on Wednesday, Ohtani will take a seat for the fourth consecutive game. Albert Pujols will take over as the designated hitter once again.

Joc Pederson DH | TEX
Dodgers' Joc Pederson: Placed on bereavement list
Pederson was placed on the family medical emergency list Wednesday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Players spend a minimum of three days on the list, though pandemic-related protocols could potentially extend Pederson's absence. Zach McKinstry was recalled in a corresponding move.

Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Hitless in return
Stanton went 0-for-4 with a walk and two strikeouts in Tuesday's win over Toronto.
Stanton was the only Yankees starter who did not register a hit in the 20-6 rout, but some rust was to be expected after the slugger missed over five weeks with a left hamstring strain. The good news is that Stanton made it through the contest without suffering any setbacks before he was lifted for a pinch hitter in the eighth inning. Per Max Goodman of Sports Illustrated, Stanton will get the day off Wednesday but will be back in the lineup Thursday as part of a plan to build him up slowly.

Daniel Vogelbach DH | TOR
Brewers' Daniel Vogelbach: Records seven total bases
Vogelbach went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk en route to four RBI and three runs scored during the Brewers' 18-3 win over the Cardinals on Tuesday.
Vogelbach contributed his first home run in a Brewers uniform. After swatting a home run nearly every 15 at-bats as a Mariner last season, Tuesday marked merely his third through 83 at-bats in 2020. However, since being claimed off waivers on Sept. 3, Vogelbach has 12 hits in eight appearances for Milwaukee, so the change of scenery appears to have suited him.

Justin Turner DH | CHC
Dodgers' Justin Turner: Big impact in return
Turner (hamstring) went 3-for-4 with an RBI single and a run scored in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Padres.
Turner's first game back from an injured-list stint was a big success. He plated Mookie Betts with an RBI single in the first inning. Turner got on base with another single in the third and came around to score on a Cody Bellinger single. The 35-year-old Turner served as the designated hitter Tuesday, but he should take some playing time from Edwin Rios at third base going forward. Turner has two homers, 21 RBI, 18 runs scored and a stolen base in 33 games this season.
