Turner (ankle) is unlikely to start against the Rays on Wednesday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Turner has now missed eight straight games with a sore ankle, though he did indicate Tuesday that he is "getting better every day," per Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times. The decision to sit him out again Wednesday makes perfect sense for a team that has already wrapped up the National League West and has an off day Thursday. Chances are good that Turner will be back in the lineup Friday, though Los Angeles won't push the issue as they have plenty of time to get the 34-year-old back into the fold by the start of the postseason.

Martinez exited Tuesday's game with left groin tightness and is day-to-day, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.

Martinez went 0-for-2 with a strikeout before suffering the injury. Sam Travis replaced him before suffering his own injury.

Ramirez isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Ramirez reached base twice in Monday's series opener, but he'll retreat to the bench for Tuesday's clash. Austin Dean is set to man left field and hit eighth.

Stanton (knee) could be activated as soon as Wednesday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Stanton should be back with the team no later than Thursday, though he may not play right away. Manager Aaron Boone said Monday that he doesn't expect Stanton to start his first game back, but he's eventually expected to be the team's regular left fielder heading into the playoffs.

Pederson isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rays.

Pederson is situated on the bench for Tuesday's clash with lefty Blake Snell in line to make his return. Enrique Hernandez gets the nod in right field and will bat sixth.

Reyes was scratched from the lineup Tuesday against the Tigers due to a family matter, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

It's not clear how much time Reyes is expected to miss. Jake Bauers will start as the designated hitter in his absence.

Soler went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run Monday in the Royals' 6-5 win over the Athletics.

Soler has already secured the Kansas City franchise home-run record and now looks like the overwhelming frontrunner for the American League homer crown. His fourth-inning blast off Tanner Roark was Soler's 45th of the season, tying him with the Mike Trout (foot) for the league lead. After Trout and Soler, Nelson Cruz and Gleyber Torres rank a distant second with 37 long balls.

Vogelbach is not in the lineup Tuesday in Pittsburgh, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.

The Mariners don't have a designated hitter available with the series being played under National League rules, but Vogelbach has started at first base on 46 occasions this season and could certainly do so in one or both of the next two games. Austin Nola starts there Tuesday.

Dickerson (oblique) isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against Boston, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

Dickerson has been nursing an oblique injury, and even though he was able to pinch hit in Sunday's series finale against Miami, he's not ready to return to the starting nine just yet. Austin Slater draws the start in right field and will bat eighth.
