Byron Buxton CF | MIN
Twins' Byron Buxton: Progresses to tee work
Buxton (shoulder) has been cleared for soft toss and tee work, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Buxton has been on the injured list since Aug. 3 due to a left shoulder subluxation, and while he remains without a firm timetable for his return, it's good to see him swinging a bat again without issue. He'll likely need to progress to live batting practice before heading out on a rehab assignment.

J.D. Martinez DH | NYM
Red Sox's J.D. Martinez: Drives in two in three-hit day
Martinez went 3-for-5 with a double, a run and two RBI in Sunday's 13-7 win over the Orioles.
As has been the case for many hitters this season, Martinez enjoyed a strong series versus Baltimore, notching four hits, three RBI and three runs during the three-game set. After posting an OPS over 1.000 both of the past two seasons, Martinez is down to .946 in 2019, rendering him somewhat of a disappointment relative to his acquisition cost in drafts and auctions. The back issues he's managed off and on this season have likely factored into that downturn to some extent, and it wouldn't be surprising to see the Red Sox ease up on Martinez's workload if the team finds itself out of the playoff hunt by mid-September.

Jesse Winker DH | NYM
Reds' Jesse Winker: Remains out of lineup
Winker (back) is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres.
Though Winker will be on the bench for a fifth straight game, the Reds were satisfied enough with the condition of his back to deploy him as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning of Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Cardinals. Winker walked in his lone plate appearance and didn't stay in the game for the subsequent half inning, but it's not believed that he suffered a setback in his first game action since Aug. 14. Instead, Winker's continued absence from the lineup for Monday's series opener is most likely result of the Padres bringing a lefty (Eric Lauer) to the hill.

White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Homers, triples in loss
Jimenez went 2-for-4 with a homer, a triple and two RBI in Sunday's 9-2 loss to the Angels.

Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD
Angels' Shohei Ohtani: Clocks 16th homer
Ohtani went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 9-2 win over the White Sox.
Ohtani's seventh-inning homer ended an 18-game homerless drought for the second-year star, giving him 16 on the year. The 25-year-old is slashing .299/.358/.519 with 34 extra-base hits in 349 plate appearances this season.

Harold Ramirez DH | WAS
Marlins' Harold Ramirez: Knocks three hits
Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a walk in Sunday's 7-6 loss to the Rockies.
After a hot start to his MLB career a few months ago, Ramirez had gone just 26-for-127 (.205) since the start of July before Sunday's three-hit outing. The rookie outfielder's OPS is back to .703 with 23 extra-base hits this season.

Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Launches 26th homer
Blackmon went 2-for-4 with a homer, two runs scored, two RBI and a walk in Sunday's 7-6 win over Miami.
Blackmon enjoyed a nice weekend against the Marlins, going 4-for-7 with five runs scored and two homers in his last two games. The 33-year-old lefty owns a terrific .327/.373/.604 slash line with 26 long balls and 93 runs scored.

Ji-Man Choi 1B | NYM
Rays' Ji-Man Choi: Plays hero in series finale
Choi registered two RBI on a pinch-hit single Sunday against the Tigers.
Choi was called on in the bottom of the ninth with a one-run deficit, and he was able to win the ballgame by driving home a pair on a single to center field. The 28-year-old is slashing .260/.354/.417 with 11 homers and 43 RBI over 95 contests this season with the Rays.

Bryce Harper 1B | PHI
Phillies' Bryce Harper: Exits due to dehydration
The Phillies relayed that Harper's removal from Sunday's game against the Padres was the result of dehydration, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Harper went 1-for-1 with a single, a walk and a run scored before he was replaced by Adam Haseley in the top of the sixth inning. After an off day Monday, Harper should be ready to go when the Phillies resume play Tuesday against the Red Sox at Fenway Park.

Bryce Harper 1B | PHI
Phillies' Bryce Harper: Exits Sunday's game
Harper exited Sunday's game against the Padres in the sixth inning with an undisclosed injury, Bob Brookover of The Philadephia Inquirer reports.
Per Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer, the trainer was talking to manager Gabe Kapler in the dugout, so it seems injury-related. Adam Haseley replaced Harper in right field.
