Cespedes was removed early from Tuesday's game against the Padres, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Cespedes tripled to deep right field and came home on a throwing error in the seventh inning but was subsequently removed from the game in between innings as part of a double switch. It's possible that he was not removed due to an injury, though it is a bit odd that the Mets would remove their best hitter in a two-run game. We'll find out more about the rationale for his removal following the conclusion of Tuesday's game.

Canha went 5-for-5 with four RBI from a solo home run and a three-run blast in Triple-A Nashville's win over Las Vegas on Tuesday. He also doubled and scored twice.

Canha's jaw-dropping performance was also a record-setting one as per Sounds play-by-play announcer Jeff Hem, who noted that the outfielder's five hits tied a Nashville single-game record. The 28-year-old hit just .234 last month after some extensive struggles with the Athletics prompted a demotion to Triple-A on June 9, but he boasts a .333 average with four homers and 17 RBI in 21 July contests.

Buxton (groin) has been bothered by migraine headaches recently, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Buxton's groin is reportedly feeling better, but he's not ready to rejoin the Twins due to the fact that he's been afflicted by migraine headaches over the past couple of days. Buxton could potentially return from the DL on Wednesday, but Zack Granite will continue to hold down center field in his absence.

Alvarez, 20, is batting .289/.370/.461 with one home run, 13 RBI and one steal in 21 games since being promoted to High-A Buies Creek.

Alvarez has shown plate discipline well beyond his years despite the bump in levels. The lefty has almost as many walks (13) as strikeouts (16). The Astros are hopeful that his raw power will turn into home runs down the line. Still, it's Alvarez's advanced approach at the dish which is drawing rave reviews at this time.

Carpenter (quadriceps) is starting at first base and leading off Tuesday against the Rockies.

He missed one game with leg cramps, but is back in the mix against righty Jon Gray. Carpenter is hitting .299/.427/.504 with four home runs and 30 runs in his last 40 games.

Martinez (hand) went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Monday's win over the Braves.

It was his first hit as a member of the Diamondbacks, and it came in his return to the lineup following a four-game absence. Martinez was hit by a pitch on the hand in his first game with Arizona last Wednesday, but all tests were negative. Monday's homer suggests he's out of the woods with the injury.

Pederson went 1-for-3 with a solo homer Monday against the Twins.

Pederson's long ball off Bartolo Colon gives him 53 career home runs against righties compared to just eight against lefties. The lefty slugger also has a remarkably similar 52-7 split in doubles. While he often sits against southpaws, Pederson's .238/.349/.455 line makes him a solid option when he's in the lineup.

Stanton went 2-for-3 with two home runs and three RBI during Monday's win over Texas.

With 11 homers through his past 15 games, Stanton has tied Aaron Judge for the league lead with 32. The Miami outfielder sports a .274/.360/.596 slash line with 68 RBI and 68 runs alongside the bombs, and career-best numbers are well within reach.

Lewis was removed from Monday's game with High-A Modesto due to knee soreness, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Though Lewis was forced to exit the game, the team is saying that there is no structural damage to the knee and his removal was simply due to soreness. It sounds like the top prospect won't be sidelined for long, but we'll have to wait for more information to be revealed after he gets reevaluated Tuesday. He'll be listed as day-to-day.

Carpenter (quadriceps) is not in the lineup Monday against the Rockies.

Carpenter left Sunday's contest with the Cubs prematurely due to a bout of cramps in his quad, and it seems like the Cardinals want to give him at least one more day of rest to get back to full health. He'll remain day-to-day as Luke Voit takes over at first base Monday night.
