Cespedes (hamstring) may not have resumed running yet and Mets manager Terry Collins wouldn't confirm that the team is considering activated him for next week's interleague series against the Rangers, the New York Daily News reports. "He worked out, did his stuff today that he's been doing. I didn't hear about any running," Collins said Friday.

The outfielder began taking batting practice Tuesday, but there's been no word that he's made any further progress in his rehab since then. Cespedes would be able to DH in the Texas series, taking some strain off his legs, but it's beginning to look very questionable whether he'll be able to return to action in any capacity by then.

Soler was optioned to Triple-A Omaha on Saturday.

Jorge Bonifacio has a pretty firm hold on the right field job, and the Royals don't need a DH for five National League games next week, so it made sense to send Soler down to get regular playing time at Triple-A. It didn't help that he was hitting just .164 with one home run and a 29.2 percent strikeout rate in 55 at-bats since coming off the DL on May 6. Billy Burns was recalled as a corresponding move.

Carpenter is out of Saturday's lineup against the Cubs, Jim Hayes of Fox Sports Midwest reports.

He is hitting just .165/.273/.306 with three home runs and 23 strikeouts over his last 23 games. Jose Martinez draws the start at first base and will hit cleanup against southpaw Jon Lester.

Dickerson (back) is hoping to get at-bats as a designated hitter in extended spring training games this weekend, Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

He has been out all season with a disc protrusion in his back, but could begin a rehab assignment around June 10. The Padres have a couple other outfielders (Manuel Margot and Travis Jankowski) working their way back from injuries, so it is unclear what kind of playing time will be available once everyone comes off the DL. Cory Spangenberg and Franchy Cordero are currently handling most of the work in left field and center field, respectively.

Brantley went 3-for-4 with a stolen base in Friday's 4-0 loss to the Royals.

He was the only Cleveland hitter to have any kind of success against Jason Vargas in this one. Brantley now has four multi-hit performances in his last seven games to fuel a .414 batting average (12-for-29) over that stretch, but he hasn't had an extra-base hit since May 23 and hit his last homer April 30.

Stanton went 2-for-3 with a double, a solo homer, a walk and three runs Friday against the Diamondbacks.

Stanton ripped his 15th homer of the campaign in the fifth inning to give the Marlins a lead they'd never relinquish. The slugger's stayed healthy for a full two months, and he's been an elite fantasy option with an exceptional .926 OPS.

Miller is in the lineup Friday against the Mariners, batting eighth and playing second base.

Miller was activated off the disabled list Thursday, and it seems the Rays are going to drop him right back into regular duty now that he's healthy again. This is lower than he hit before the injury struck (he hit in the middle third of the order earlier in the season), so he may have to prove his health at the plate before manager Kevin Cash moves him back into a run-producing spot in the order.

Turner (hamstring) ran the bases at Miller Park on Friday, which was the last hurdle for him before heading out on a rehab assignment, gurnick reports.

He is unlikely to return to the big-league lineup until sometime next week, but he could begin a rehab assignment as early as Saturday. Turner was hitting .379/.453/.493 with one home run and two steals in 162 plate appearances prior to suffering the injury.

Miller (abdomen) was activated from the 10-day disabled list Thursday.

Presumably, Miller's 0-for-3 rehab performance Thursday was the only one he needed as he'll probably return to the lineup Friday. He's struggled so far this year with a .205/.350/.318 line in 163 plate appearances. At least he has two home runs and three stolen bases, which shows he can still be valuable if he gets playing time. Miller should get the chance to reclaim the second base job for himself, as Daniel Robertson hasn't done much to convince Tampa Bay otherwise.

Stanton was 1-for-4 with an RBI, but he struck out three times during the Marlins' 3-2 loss to the Diamondbacks on Thursday.

It appears Stanton is continuing his hot streak, evidenced by his production on a night the rest of the Miami offense was mostly absent. Since May 20, he is hitting .395 with three home runs and 10 RBI. Thursday also marked his return after sitting out Wednesday with hamstring cramping.
