Brad Miller DH | SD
Rays' Brad Miller: Out of Monday's lineup against Arizona
Miller is out of Monday's lineup against the Diamondbacks, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Miller continues to sit in favor of Taylor Motter against left-handed pitching like Arizona's Monday starter Robbie Ray. The lefty is hitting .245/.306/.427 against right-handed pitching with four of his five home runs, but owns just a .233/.258/.467 line against lefties. Although Motter has yet to find a groove, this platoon hasn't shown any sign of letting up just yet.

Yoenis Cespedes DH | NYM
Mets' Yoenis Cespedes: Back in the lineup Monday
Cespedes (hip) is back in the lineup for Monday's game against the Pirates, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Although Cespedes has been great offensively over the entire course of the season, hitting .277 with 15 home runs and 37 RBI, he has hit a mini slump over the past nine games, batting just .107 with no home runs and 11 strikeouts. The 30-year-old is still the Mets' best offensive player and should return to form sooner rather than later.

Michael Brantley LF | HOU
Indians' Michael Brantley: Could miss significant time
Brantley (shoulder) could miss a significant amount of time, Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reports.
Brantley has been on the 15-day DL since May 14; the Indians were hoping he could be ready in mid-June, but that optimism seems to have faded. No specifics regarding his timetable for return have been released, but more information should be released soon.

Matt Carpenter DH | STL
Cardinals' Matt Carpenter: Leads Cardinals to win over Giants with three hits
Carpenter went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Giants.
The third baseman continues to fill up the stat sheet, as he hit his team-leading 17th double and collected his 36th RBI. Not only does Carpenter lead the team in those two important categories, his .931 OPS is best among Cardinals with 50-plus games under their belt this year. Carpenter is on pace to drive in 100-plus runs for the first time in his impressive five-year career.

Byron Buxton CF | MIN
Twins' Byron Buxton: Extends hitting streak to six games
Buxton went 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI in Sunday's game against the Rays.
The heavily-hyped young outfielder has struggled for much of his time in the Major Leagues, but he seems to be figuring things out at the plate, as he has hit at a .435 clip with three runs scored, two RBI and a stolen base during his six-game hitting streak since being promoted. He notably also went without a strikeout for just the third time this season. The sample size is small, but the fact that Buxton is enjoying his first taste of success at this level bears watching from fantasy owners.

Bryce Harper 1B | PHI
Nationals' Bryce Harper: Bangs out three hits in Sunday's win
Harper went 3-for-5 with two runs scored in Sunday's 10-9 win over the Reds.
It's his first multi-hit performance since May 21, as Harper finally shows signs of snapping out of the slump he fell into during the last few weeks in May. It speaks both to his talent and the expectations around him that a .249/.413/.521 slash line is a bit of a disappointment, but Harper's more than capable of going on a tear and pumping his numbers back up.

Justin Turner DH | CHC
Dodgers' Justin Turner: Not in Sunday's lineup
Turner is out of the lineup Sunday against the Braves, Mike DiDiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Turner has started four straight and 11 of the last 12 overall, but will take a seat Sunday in favor of Howie Kendrick at third base. Look for Turner to be back in action for Monday's series opener against the Rockies, but in the meantime, Trayce Thompson will get bumped up to third in the batting order.

Andrew McCutchen DH | TEX
Pirates' Andrew McCutchen: Resting Sunday
McCutchen is out of the lineup Sunday against the Angels.
McCutchen will get a rare day off -- in fact, it is just his second since the beginning of May. Although the center fielder is starting to bounce back from some early-season struggles, he is just 2-for-14 over four games since the beginning of June. While he takes a seat, Starling Marte will cover for him in center, while Matt Joyce gets the nod in right with Gregory Polanco in left.
-
Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Marlins' Giancarlo Stanton: Not in Sunday's lineup
Stanton is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mets.
Since returning to action Wednesday, Stanton has made four straight starts in right field, but has gone a miserable 1-for-14 over that span, striking out seven times. He'll get the day off Sunday to catch a breather and hopefully right the ship, while Ichiro Suzuki will get the starting nod in right.

Yoenis Cespedes DH | NYM
Mets' Yoenis Cespedes: Resting Sunday
Cespedes (hip) is out of the lineup Sunday against the Marlins but may be available to pinch-hit.
Cespedes was a scratch Saturday due to what was later revealed as a sore right hip, so it's not too much of a surprise to see him rested Sunday. With all of the injuries afflicting the Mets of late, it's understandable to see them taking a conservative approach with their best remaining offensive threat. As for Cespedes, consider him day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener against the Pirates.
