Pirates center fielder Andrew McCutchen returned from a one-game absence and reached base four times Sunday against the Cardinals. McCutchen went 1 for 2 with three walks and an RBI, giving him 19 RBI this season.

McCutchen sat out Saturday with a gimpy ankle. He's hitting .321/.438/.511.

The Phillies announced Monday outfielder Darin Ruf (oblique) and pitcher Ethan Martin (shoulder) had their rehab assignments moved from Class A Clearwater to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Ruf hit .250 (3 for 12) with two RBI in three games for Clearwater, while Martin tossed 2 2/3 scoreless innings over three relief appearances. He allowed three hits and issued three walks.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported after first pitch that McCutchen is dealing with an injury to his right ankle. The severity of the injury is not yet known, so his status for Sunday's series finale is a question mark.

Cabrera endured a slow start to the season, but he's certainly picked things up in May, going 11 for 37 with four doubles, three home runs and 13 RBI. He has hit .282/.329/.481 with five home runs and 28 RBI in 131 at-bats.

Belt was hit by a pitch Friday night, and was removed from the game shortly after. He's expected to miss about six weeks due to the injury.

Belt was hitting .264, with nine home runs, in 129 at-bats.
