Blackmon is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Cardinals.

Mike Moustakas will take a turn at DH and bat fifth versus the Cardinals and right-hander Miles Mikolas. Jurickson Profar, Yonathan Daza and Kris Bryant are starting across the outfield for Colorado.

Stanton will not be in the Yankees' lineup for Tuesday's game in Cleveland, manager Aaron Boone told the Talkin' Yanks podcast Tuesday.

Boone wants a left-handed heavy lineup against Hunter Gaddis and Stanton played the outfield Monday, so it's a good time to get him a breather. Willie Calhoun will be the designated hitter and Franchy Cordero will be in right field Tuesday.

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo indicated Monday that Lewis (illness) will "probably" require a rehab assignment before returning to the team, Nick Piecoro and Theo Mackie of the Arizona Republic report.

Lovullo didn't go into specifics regarding the illness that landed Lewis on the injured list Saturday. "He's probably gonna need to be built back up," the manager said. "He's gonna be on the injured list and then get into a rehab and try to get back onto his feet as soon as possible." Lewis is eligible to come off the IL next Tuesday, April 18. He had been serving as the primary DH against left-handers and was replaced by Josh Rojas on Monday against Milwaukee southpaw Wade Miley.

Alvarez went 3-for-4 with one double, two RBI and one run scored in Monday's victory over the Pirates.

Alvarez plated a pair of runs in the top of the second inning with a single to left field. He's tallied six RBI over his last three games and has now registered two three-hit performances through the first 10 matchups.

Winker is absent from the Brewers' lineup for Monday's game in Arizona.

It's the rare time when Winker isn't in there against a righty, but Zac Gallen has drastic reverse splits. Luke Voit is at designated hitter.

Reyes is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

After striking out in all three of his at-bats in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Giants, Reyes will step out of the lineup Monday even though the platoon advantage is in his favor. Rather than Reyes, the Royals will go with Matt Duffy as their extra right-handed bat against Rangers southpaw Andrew Heaney.

Miller is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Royals.

The lefty-hitting Miller has now started just once in the Rangers' last five games, with three of those four absences from the lineup coming versus right-handed pitchers. The veteran appears to have been displaced as the team's primary designated hitter, with the Rangers instead rotating a number of players between that spot in the lineup while opening up more time in the outfield for the likes of Ezequiel Duran, Josh Smith and Bubba Thompson.

Seattle designated Solak for assignment Monday.

Acquired from the Reds shortly before Opening Day, Solak has now been DFA'd for the second time in less than a month. Solak has gone 1-for-13 through his first four games at Triple-A Tacoma and will remain with the affiliate if he isn't claimed off waivers.

Ozuna is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Reds.

Though he's produced two home runs through Atlanta's first 10 games, Ozuna has otherwise gone 0-for-25 at the plate with 10 strikeouts against five walks. He still should have a fairly clear path to seeing the lion's share of the reps at designated hitter while both Travis d'Arnaud (concussion) and Michael Harris (back) are on the injured list, but Ozuna's ongoing struggles at the plate mean that he'll likely be subject to more days off than most of Atlanta's other regulars. Eddie Rosario will spell him at designated hitter Monday while Kevin Pillar fills Rosario's usual spot in left field.

Martinez went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, two runs and two RBI in Sunday's loss to Arizona.

Martinez isn't known for his speed around the bases, but his third-inning, run-scoring triple ensured that his streak of campaigns with at least one three-bagger (aside from the shortened 2020 season) reached nine. The veteran plated another run with an eighth-inning double, pushing his RBI total to nine on the season. Martinez is tied for second in the league with six doubles so far in 2023.
