Stanton went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's victory over the Orioles.

Stanton crushed a 447-foot homer to left field with two outs in the first inning to extend the Yankees' early lead and later added a single in the fifth. The outfielder had gone hitless in his last three games while striking out nine times over that span. Stanton will now look to build off the two-hit effort after hitting just .143 in September.

Meneses went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and four RBI in a 13-4 win over the Phillies in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader. He also scored four runs and drew a walk.

Meneses had himself a day at the plate on Saturday, beginning with a three-run double with two outs in the second inning to put the Nationals up 4-1. He followed that up with a homer to lead off the fifth - his seventh long ball since the start of September, to go along with 22 RBI and 17 runs scored. It was also the rookie first baseman's 11th multi-hit game in that 27-game span.

Cabrera will return for the 2023 season, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Cabrera will turn 40 in April and has been a below-average hitter in four of the last six seasons, but he has 32 million reasons to return next year. The 2023 season will be the final guaranteed year of the eight-year, $248 million extension Cabrera signed prior to the 2014 season. His contract contains vesting options for 2024 and 2025, but it would take a top-10 MVP finish for those years to vest. Cabrera has been about as far from MVP level as possible this season, hitting just .251/.299/.315 while exclusively serving as the designated hitter.

Turner (lower leg) won't start Saturday against the Rockies, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Turner was initially listed as the Dodgers' starting third baseman Saturday, but the team will ultimately hold him out for a fourth consecutive game as a precautionary measure. However, manager Dave Roberts hopes that the 37-year-old will be back in action for Sunday's matchup.

Ohtani and the Angels agreed to a one-year, $30 million deal Saturday, avoiding arbitration for next season.

The 2023 season will be Ohtani's final year before free agency, and he'll make the largest ever amount for an arbitration-eligible player. He'll take that record from Mookie Betts, who received $27 million in 2020. He'll also set the record for the largest raise in arbitration, as he made $5.5 million this season. His $24.5 million raise smashes the previous record of $9.6 million set by Jacob deGrom.

Turner (lower leg) is starting Saturday against the Rockies, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Turner missed the last three games due to a lower-leg injury, but he'll start at third base and bat cleanup Saturday. Over his last seven matchups, he's hit .240 with a run, two walks and five strikeouts.

Ramirez will sit Saturday against the Astros, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Ramirez hits the bench after the Rays clinched a playoff spot Friday. Ji-Man Choi will start at first base, while Wander Franco rests his legs as the designated hitter.

Cabrera isn't starting Saturday against the Twins.

Cabrera went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts during Friday's series opener against Minnesota, and he'll head to the bench for the second time in the last three games. Javier Baez is serving as the designated hitter while Ryan Kreidler starts at shortstop.

Alvarez went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored Friday against the Rays.

Alvarez missed one game due to an ankle injury, but he returned to extend his hitting streak to five games. Though he'll likely get some days off prior to the postseason, Alvarez is closing the regular season well by hitting .360 with 15 runs scored and 16 RBI across 22 games in September.

Martinez isn't starting Saturday against the Blue Jays.

Martinez will get a day off after he slashed .333/.364/.762 with two home runs, three doubles, five runs and three RBI over the last five games. Xander Bogaerts is serving as the designated hitter and batting third.
