He had missed the last two games, which could have been due to middling performance and expanded rosters, but now it seems like something must be bothering Martinez physically. Christian Arroyo was added to the lineup at designated hitter.

Miller is dealing with right hip discomfort and could require a trip to the injured list, Levi Weaver of The Athletic reports.
This explains why Miller has not seen game action since Aug. 31. Even once he is ready to return, the Rangers will likely spread out the playing time in order to develop their younger players.

Soler (back) has been cleared for full baseball activities, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Soler has been hitting for several weeks, and he has now advanced to the point in his recovery where he can also run and throw. If all goes well in the days ahead, it might not be long before Soler is ready to head out on a rehab assignment.

McCutchen has spent most of the season as a regular, but the veteran has been a part-time player of late, as he will open on the bench Tuesday for the fifth time in 10 games. He will likely be in the lineup whenever a lefty starts for the opponent, but as things stand he is not a lock to play every day.

Ohtani went 3-for-5 with two home runs, a double, three RBI and three runs scored in Monday's 10-0 win over the Tigers.
Ohtani led the charge on offense, homering in the third and seventh innings. He's been impressive lately, going 12-for-29 (.414) with five homers, 10 RBI, eight runs scored and two doubles through his last seven contests. The power surge has him up to 32 long balls and 85 RBI while maintaining a .270/.360/.537 slash line with 78 runs scored and 11 stolen bases through 555 plate appearances.

With lefty Andrew Heaney pitching for the Dodgers, Pederson will head to the bench in favor of Thairo Estrada in left field. The Dodgers are also starting lefties Tuesday (Tyler Anderson) and Wednesday (Clayton Kershaw), so Pederson may not get many at-bats in this series.

Turner is in the midst of a 14-game hitting streak dating back to Aug. 19, hitting .442/.492/.712 with two home runs and two steals in 52 at-bats over that stretch. Miguel Vargas is in the lineup at designated hitter.

Stanton was removed from Monday's game against the Twins in the bottom of the eighth inning due to a foot/ankle injury, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.
Stanton fouled a ball off the top of his foot/ankle in the bottom of the sixth inning and initially remained in the game, but he was replaced by a pinch hitter in the bottom of the eighth. He underwent X-rays that came back negative, so he should tentatively be considered day-to-day.
