Winker (ankle) is considered day-to-day after leaving Sunday's loss to the Astros, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.

Winker sustained a sprained right ankle in the bottom of the second inning while colliding with Jeremy Pena on the basepaths, but manager Scott Servais is optimistic that the injury isn't significant. Winker will be monitored ahead of Monday's series opener against the Rangers, but Servais hopes that the outfielder will avoid a trip to the injured list.

The 25-year-old was activated from the injured list Thursday and started the previous three games, but he's being held out Sunday due to lingering soreness in his right hand. Alvarez is likely to continue having his workload managed since he can't fully get past the hand injury, though it has yet to affect his effectiveness given he's posted a 1.105 OPS in July.

Belt is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Belt started the first three games out of the All-Star break -- including two against left-handed pitchers -- but he'll head to the bench Sunday with southpaw Clayton Kershaw taking the mound. Darin Ruf will handle first base in Sunday's series finale.

Pederson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

It's the third straight game on the bench for Pederson, as Los Angeles sends out yet another left-handed starter in Clayton Kershaw. Yermin Mercedes will again start in left field for the Giants.

Alvarez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Alvarez sat out Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader but started the past three contests and went 3-for-9 with a double, two homers, two walks, five RBI and four runs. There's been no indication the 25-year-old has aggravated his hand injury, so he's likely just receiving a maintenance day in the series finale. Kyle Tucker will rest his legs as the designated hitter while Chas McCormick starts in right field.

Carpenter went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in a loss to the Orioles on Saturday.

Carpenter's second-inning long ball gave the Yankees a 2-0 lead and pushed his total to 14 homers on the campaign. Incredibly, he's reached that number in only 89 at-bats. Among players with at least 100 plate appearances, Carpenter's 38.9 HR/FB is tops in the majors.

Stanton is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Orioles.

Stanton will be on the bench for a second consecutive game and third time in five games since the All-Star break. Matt Carpenter will start in right field and bat fifth versus Baltimore.

Ohtani went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's loss to Atlanta.

The Angels didn't have much to celebrate in the contest, but Ohtani provided one highlight with his solo shot to right field in the fifth inning. The long ball was his third in July and his 20th of the season. Ohtani is the only player in the majors with at least 20 homers and 10 thefts so far in 2022.
